Bears "Leaning Toward" Trading No. 1 Overall Pick
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears have already been approached by multiple teams about trading this year's No. 1 pick in the draft and they are said to be "leaning toward" moving the pick, according to sources. The Bears have said that they are moving forward with quarterback Justin Fields as their franchise signal-caller, so it makes sense that they'd be willing to move the No. 1 overall selection because they aren't in the market for one of this year's top QBs, such as Alabama's Bryce Young or Ohio State's C.J. Stroud. Fields took a noticeable step forward in his second NFL season and first as the full-time starter in 2022, and he could eventually become a high-end QB1 in fantasy if the Bears get him some receiving help.
