Anthony Rendon Could Be Late To Camp
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels manager Joe Maddon said that third baseman Anthony Rendon could be a late arrival to spring training due to the ongoing weather situation in Texas. Rendon is from Houston, but a late arrival to spring training shouldn't affect his fantasy value at all heading into the 2021 season. The 30-year-old hit .289/.418/.497 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 52 games in the shortened 2020 season in his first season with the Angels after posting career-highs in doubles (44), home runs (34) and RBI (126) in his last season with the Nationals in 2019. Rendon will turn 31 years old this June and remains one of the best all-around hitters in baseball. He's a fringe top-25 overall fantasy player and should be considered a no-brainer top-five fantasy third baseman entering the 2021 season.
