OwnersBox Quarterback Picks

On OwnersBox, you have the option of starting two quarterbacks as this is a Superflex contest. It is highly recommended that you find a way to fit two quarterbacks into your lineup as they provide some of the highest floors as well as highest ceilings in fantasy football.

Matt Ryan, ATL ($6,300) - vs. PHI

Matt Ryan and the Falcons find themselves playing the Philadelphia Eagles at home in a game that currently has a total sitting at 48. Both of these teams struggled defensively in 2020 and therefore this game has the potential to be a shootout. The Eagles allowed quarterbacks to throw for over 220 yards per game in 2020 and also allowed 24 passing touchdowns while only intercepting eight passes. Ryan at $6,300 is a bargain for this game and should be able to find success through the air.

Kyler Murray, ARI ($7,800) - at TEN

Kyler Murray is going to be a Superflex in this lineup, and while he is not necessarily a bargain, he should find plenty of success against the Titans. This is a game with another high total as it currently sits at 51.5. The Titans allowed the ninth-most passing yards to quarterbacks in 2020 as well as the seventh-most passing touchdowns. These two stats resulted in them allowing nearly 22 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, which was ranked second-worst in the league.

OwnersBox Running Back Picks

Dalvin Cook, MIN ($8,000) - at CIN

Dalvin Cook is my favorite player on the slate. He is featured in a game with a total of 48 and is on the Vikings who are favored to win the game by 3.5 points. This could lead to him receiving more carries down the stretch in order to melt away the clock. He will be going up against a Bengals defense that allowed running backs to average over 125 rushing yards per game in 2020, which ranked third-worst in the league. They also allowed the seventh-most red zone touches to running backs in 2020, which should provide Cook with opportunities to punch it in the endzone from close range.

OwnersBox Wide Receiver Picks

Calvin Ridley, ATL ($7,200) - vs. PHI

Since we are using Matt Ryan as one of our quarterbacks, it certainly makes sense to add in his number one target in Calvin Ridley as one of our wide receivers. The Eagles allowed 15 receiving touchdowns as well as nearly 150 receiving yards per game to wide receivers in 2020. The Falcons allowed wide receivers and quarterbacks to absolutely go off in 2020, which should also force the Falcons to keep up in this game, and Ryan to Ridley is going to be the most potent option for them to do so.

Christian Kirk, ARI ($4,100) - at TEN

Kirk is a value wide receiver that we want to pair with our quarterback, Kyler Murray. Kirk was a solid contributor for the Cardinals in 2020 as he averaged nearly six targets per game and paired that with 621 receiving yards and six touchdowns across 14 games. Facing the Titans' pass defense should certainly help him start 2021 off on the right foot as they allowed wide receivers to average nearly 170 receiving yards per game, which ranked seventh-worst in the league. They also gave up 17 receiving touchdowns on the season, which had them ranked in the bottom half of the league.
