Baller Streaming Strategy for Week 7

Sunday with four along with Tuesday and Thursday with five games apiece are the hardest days to start a full roster. This is why players from teams playing on these days will be the ones we turn to in this article.

Toronto is the only team that plays on all three days so their players could be worth streaming for the entire week.

There are only five other teams that play two games on these three scarcest days, and they all play on Tuesday and Thursday. These teams are Portland (4 games next week), Memphis, New York, Phoenix Suns (all with 3 game) and Detroit ( only 2 games).

It is worth noting that Saturday has seven games and Monday, Wednesday and Friday all have nine games, so there are no days with a double-digit number of games this week. Therefore, if you have a large starting lineup in your league setup and have available starting spots each day, perhaps you're better off targeting teams that play four games or start the week with three games from Monday to Thursday and then swap for someone playing more often in the end of the week.

Shallower League Add

Dillon Brooks, SG/SF, MEM, (69% Rostered)

Strong Cats: 3PM, PTS, a bit of AST, FT%, STL

One of the most improved players this season, Memphis leader Ja Morant has suffered a knee sprain that is suspected to keep him out for a bit of time. It's a relief that Morant's injury isn't as serious as first thought, but still, it is a big blow to the Grizzlies. This leaves a lot of shots available, and nobody on this Memphis' roster likes the ball in his hands more than Dillon Brooks.

He is a prolific scorer and has shown on more than one occasion that he can stuff the opponent's basket. He was injured to start the season but has since returned and played in six games so far, scoring in double-digits in all of them. In these six games he has averaged 18.2 PTS with 1.8 3PM on 41.5 FG% and 87.0 FT%, 3.2 REB, 2.5 AST, 0.8 STL, 0.2 BLK and 1.8 TO in 25 minutes per game.

With more shots, and potentially more minutes as he gets his feet back under him, Brooks could really take over the leadership role in Ja's absence.

Now, Dillon did miss two games last week with a hamstring issue, but looks to be fine now and should be playing in all three games next week.

So, if you're looking for some scoring with decent FT% and a few stats across the board, and somehow Brooks is still available in your league, don't hesitate too much. Unless of course, you need good FG% from your streamer - Brooks probably won't help in that area.

Deeper League Add

Tyus Jones, PG, MEM, (18% Rostered)

Strong Cats: AST, STL, 3PM

Positive Circumstance: Could see some additional minutes with Ja Morant out

Another "beneficiary" of Morant's injury, Jones should see his minutes increase from 15 to about 20-25 a night. Jones does the backup point guard role quite well and has done so for many years. Now, he will finally get the chance to see a more stand-out role (even though he might not start over Melton).

So far, Jones has averaged 6.2 points with 0.9 three-pointers on 51.5% from the field and 87.5% from the line, along with 2.1 boards, 3.1 dimes, 0.6 steals, 0.1 blocks and 0.6 turnovers so far this season. It is pretty likely that Jones will get about 50% more minutes going forward, and with his contribution being quite steady, 50% more of the counting stats is something that fantasy managers can hope for.

Decent %s with nice contribution in assists, steals and threes is what Tyus brings to the table, so if that's what you're looking for to win next week, he could be your guy!

Insanely Deep League Add

Immanuel Quickley, PG, NYK, (13% Rostered)

Strong Cats: 3PM, AST, FT%

Positive Circumstance: Is seeing some additional minutes with Derrick Rose missing time

Quickley is the highest scoring PG in the Knicks for the past 14 days, averaging 12.3 PTS with 2.4 3PM, on 46.7 FG% and 92.9 FT%, 2.6 REB, 3.3 AST, 0.1 STL, 0.0 BLK and 1.4 TO in 23 minutes over seven games. His lack of stocks left him ranked just outside the top 150 for this period. And while Quickley doesn't contribute much in the blocks department, he does average almost one steal per 36 in his career so far, so this should come up a bit. His FG% in the last two weeks though is higher than expected, so that could put a small dent in his value.

Now, should Rose return, Immanuel could lose a few minutes. But even then, with the way he's been playing, 20 minutes a night could be enough for him to help your deep-league team out in threes and assists primarily, followed by some points and a decent FT%. If this is what you're looking for do take him into consideration - at least for his games on Tuesday and Thursday.
