NASCAR DFS Picks: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Lineups for the Anduril 250 Race the Base (2026)

Ty Gibbs - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

Sean's NASCAR DFS picks for DraftKings, FanDuel for the Anduril 250 Race the Base at Naval Base Coronado (2026). His top NASCAR daily fantasy lineup plays and DFS sleepers.

For the first time in NASCAR's history, the Cup Series will be racing at a Navy base as a points-paying event. NASCAR is heading to Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, California, for the Anduril 250 Race the Base. This will also be NASCAR's one and only street course event for the 2026 season, as the Cup Series is not returning to the Chicago Street Course. The Street Course at Coronado is going to be the largest of all road course tracks that the Cup Series will visit this season, standing at 3.4 miles with a total of 19 turns, bumps, and plenty of sections that alternate between wide and narrow roads.

For DFS lineups, this is a track that will be about fitting one or two potential race-winning dominators despite a lower-than-average lap count for a road course, and picking drivers who are not prone to getting into accidents. This race has a layout that no driver has seen in full-race conditions outside of pre-race events or other races during the weekend. It is likely that drivers will also make mistakes and cause crashes due to unfamiliarity with the environment. Those who take care of their equipment will find themselves with favorable finishes to help a DFS lineup cash out. Due to the lack of track data since this is the first time the Cup Series will visit the track, fantasy players should definitely be sure to diversify lineups with different driver combinations to maximize the chances of success of cashing out.

Below are my NASCAR DFS lineup picks for the Anduril 250 Race the Base on DraftKings and FanDuel this week. This slate locks on 6/21/2026 at 4:00 p.m. EST. If you have further questions or want to discuss racing, you can find me on X at @SeanE247.

Disclaimer: All the drivers presented as picks for this week's race are meant to be some of my top DFS recommendations of the week. They are not originally intended to fit all into one lineup.

Shane Van Gisbergen

Starts 1st - DK: $13K, FD: $14.5K

No driver will command more attention for DFS right at the top than Shane Van Gisbergen this week, and for good reason. On both DFS sites, Van Gisbergen is the most expensive driver of the week, and there is a pretty sizable gap between him and the second-highest priced driver, especially on DraftKings.

Road and Street Courses have been SVG's specialty, and no driver has been more dominant at tracks with left and right turns than him. In 14 total starts at road and street courses, SVG has seven wins, 12 top-10 finishes, 418 laps led (most of all drivers in this span), and an average finish of 6.7 (best of all drivers in the field this week).

In practice for this week's race, Van Gisbergen ranked fourth in overall lap averages and first in five consecutive lap averages. With Van Gisbergen starting at the front, he is likely to be the primary dominator right from the beginning and is the top favorite to win this week's race. He is expensive to add to rosters, but no other driver is as likely to lead every lap and win as SVG at a road course.

Tyler Reddick

Starts 17th - DK: $10.2K, FD: $12.5K

One driver who has been able to straight-up defeat Van Gisbergen at a road course before is 23XI Racing's Tyler Reddick. The No. 45 Toyota driver beat SVG earlier in the year at COTA and held him off in the closing laps to get one of his five total wins this season.

In 34 starts at road and street courses in his Cup career, Reddick has four wins, 23 top-10 finishes, and an average finish of 11.3, which ranks third-best of all drivers in that span. Reddick has finished in the top 10 in each of the last six road and street courses dating back to last year's race on the Chicago Street Course.

During practice for this week's race, Reddick ranked 16th in overall lap averages and sixth in five consecutive lap averages. Reddick's starting position provides solid upside for DFS, especially as he has a car capable of competing for a top-5 finish.

Ty Gibbs

Starts 11th - DK: $9.7K, FD: $12K

Fantasy players should not overlook Ty Gibbs this week, especially as one of the more underrated road racers in the field. Gibbs is one of only four drivers to have placed in the top five in both road course events this season, with a fourth-place run at COTA and finishing third at Watkins Glen. The No. 54 Toyota driver also led multiple laps in both events.

Overall, he is also one of the more consistent drivers in the field at road and street courses in terms of favorable finishes. In 22 up races at road and street courses, Gibbs has 10 top-10 finishes with an average finish of 14.9. Notably, Gibbs is the only active driver in the field this week to have finished in the top 10 in every race at the Chicago Street Course.

In practice for Sunday's Cup race, Gibbs ranked eighth in overall lap averages and fourth in five consecutive lap averages. Gibbs provides decent upside from his starting position with equipment that is capable of competing for a top-5 finish, making him an option worth consideration for DFS lineups.

Michael McDowell

Starts 9th - DK: $8.8K, FD: $11.5K

As mentioned with Gibbs, only four drivers this season have placed in the top five in the previous two road racing events. Outside of Gibbs, the others to accomplish that feat were Van Gisbergen, Reddick, and the next driver to be spotlighted for this week's race, Michael McDowell. McDowell placed fifth at COTA, second at Watkins Glen, and led five laps each in both races.

Although his earlier career was not as strong at the road courses as in recent years, he's often shown proficiency at road and street courses. Since 2023, McDowell has one win and 11 top-10 finishes in 19 starts. At the Chicago Street Course, McDowell had two top-10 finishes and led 31 laps in last year's race at the site before car problems kept him out of competing for the win against SVG.

In practice for this week's race, McDowell ranked sixth in overall lap averages and third in five consecutive lap averages. Although McDowell may not have as much upside as some around his price range, he does, however, have more raw speed in pre-race events and has been one of the more consistent road racers in terms of competing for wins. It is worth taking a chance on McDowell for another strong week in DFS.

Austin Hill

Starts 10th - DK: $6K, FD: $4.5K

Richard Childress Racing's Austin Hill may be one of the best overall value options of the week. Although this will be his first road and street course event of the year, he has already done a full race at Coronado since he is also an O'Reilly Series regular. As far as the O'Reilly race earlier this weekend was concerned, he went on to not just perform well, but win the entire event.

In the Cup Series, Hill has only raced at road and street courses three times in his career. He had one start at the Charlotte Roval with Beard Motorsports in 2023, where he placed 27th after starting 33rd. Then, he had two starts with RCR at the Chicago Street Course in 2024 and 2025. The 2025 start is noteworthy as he started 30th and went on to finish ninth.

In practice for this week's race, Hill ranked ninth in overall lap averages and second in five consecutive lap averages. Hill is in solid equipment for this week's race and has had more time on this track than most in the field. Despite having smaller upside than most in his salary range, Hill is running better in pre-race events and has the speed to maintain a top-10 finish.

John Hunter Nemechek

Starts 28th - DK: $5.8K, FD: $4.8K

One type of DFS lineup that can have some success this week is a stars and scrubs lineup. A bunch of the value-tier drivers have stepped up and displayed some respectable speed in pre-race events, and on top of that, the lack of experience everyone has at this track makes the competition closer.

John Hunter Nemechek was a surprise in last week's race at Pocono, as he led the most laps (42) and finished in fourth. The Legacy Motor Club driver has been on the rise with three top-15 finishes in the last five points-paying races, which include a finish of 10th at Watkins Glen. Notably, Nemechek has scored positive Place Differential in his last three road and street course races.

For Sunday's practice, Nemechek ranked 11th in overall lap averages and 14th in five consecutive lap averages. Nemechek's starting position offers plenty of upside, and pre-race events do show that he has a top-15 capable car. Fantasy players can rely on the No. 42 Toyota driver once again to save on salary and get a respectable finish for this week's race.
