Dave's NASCAR DFS Picks (Truck Series) for the Sober or Slammer 200 at Darlington (2025). Read his daily fantasy NASCAR advice and NASCAR Trucks DFS sleepers, values.
The 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series playoffs are finally here! The Round of 10 gets underway this weekend at the famed Darlington Raceway. The "Lady in Black" is famous for its abrasive racing surface, which causes extreme tire wear. Tire management will be essential this weekend. There are a few other tracks on the schedule that experience severe tire wear similar to Darlington. We will look at those previous races earlier this year as a guide for what we can potentially expect on Saturday. However, Darlington is an extremely unique layout, so results at other tracks won't necessarily help us predict what might happen this weekend.
Corey Heim won the regular season title in dominant fashion. In fact, Heim was so dominant that he is a full race above the cutoff to make the Round of 8. With seven wins already on the books, Heim has made the Craftsman Truck Series his personal playground in 2025.
Will Heim notch his eighth victory of the season on Saturday afternoon? Or will one of the other nine playoff drivers punch their ticket for the Round of 8? Let's dive in and look at some NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Sober or Slammer 2o0 at Darlington on DraftKings. Also, make sure to check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for the Craftsman Truck Series, including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station. Please note, this slate locks on 8/30/25 at 12:00 p.m. EDT.

Top NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series DFS Plays
Corey Heim ($13K)
Starts Third
No surprises here. Heim is the most expensive driver on the slate this weekend. He's got seven wins, 12 top fives, and 14 top 10s in 18 starts this year. Heim has also led a total of 1,125 laps this year.
Heim doesn't have a great track record at Darlington so far in his Truck Series career. In four starts, his best finish is an eighth-place result back in 2023.
However, he led 77 laps and won both stages in this race last year before a wreck ended his day. With the way he's been running in 2025, it's hard to bet against Heim. Gamers would be wise to build their DFS lineups around him once again this week.

Layne Riggs ($11.5K)
Starts First
Riggs finished 21st in last year's Darlington race. It is his only start at the track to date. However, he does have a fifth-place at Las Vegas and a runner-up finish at Homestead-Miami this year. These finishes are noteworthy because both tracks experience tire wear similar to what will be seen this weekend.
If you want to save some money and fade Heim, then Riggs is a good alternative.
Ty Majeski ($11K)
Starts Eighth
Majeski has two top-five finishes in four career Darlington starts. He led 36 laps in this race last year and had stage finishes of third and fourth before settling for a fifth-place result.
Majeski finished fourth at Las Vegas and led 13 laps in the process. He also posted a solid but unspectacular 11th-place result at Homestead. Majeski has yet to find victory lane in 2025. The defending Truck Series champion has posted plenty of strong finishes but seems to be lacking the top-end speed and proper strategy calls to pick up race wins.
However, his luck might be turning around as Majeski led a race-high 143 laps at Richmond last week and finished runner-up in the process. He's a bit expensive at this price, but Majeski might further build on the momentum he established last weekend.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series DFS Fades
Chandler Smith ($9.5K)
Starts Second
Smith's best finish in four career Truck Series Darlington starts is a seventh in 2021. His other finishes are 21st, 23rd, and 27th. He's only been slightly better at Darlington in the Xfinity Series. Smith has one top 10 finish in four Xfinity Series Darlington starts. His other finishes are two 12ths and a 36th.
He does have two eighth-place finishes at Las Vegas and Homestead earlier this year. For whatever reason, though, Smith just hasn't fared well at the "Lady in Black" during his career. Target other drivers in this price range.
Daniel Hemric ($9.2K)
Starts Seventh
Hemric finished 13th at Las Vegas and fifth at Homestead earlier this year. He also has a victory at Martinsville back in March.
This weekend will mark his first career Truck Series Darlington start. Hemric does have several top 10s in 10 career Darlington Xfinity Series starts, but nothing noteworthy. Leave him out of lineups this weekend.
Mid-Tier NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series DFS Options
Grant Enfinger ($9K)
Starts Fourth
Enfinger has been very solid at Darlington. In six career starts, Enfinger has three top fives and four top 10 finishes at the track. He also has a runner-up finish at Las Vegas and a ninth-place result at Homestead earlier this year.
Enfinger has finished outside the top 10 in his last two Darlington starts, but should get back on track this weekend.
Ben Rhodes ($8K)
Starts 21st
Rhodes was unable to secure a spot in the Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs. After finishing the regular season 11th in the standings, Rhodes was unfortunately the first man left out of the postseason.
While that stings, Rhodes could be lined up for a big weekend. He has one Darlington win on his resume after taming the "Lady in Black" back in 2020. He also finished runner-up in 2021 and third in this race last year.
Look for Rhodes to take out his playoff frustrations this weekend and notch another strong finish at Darlington. Starting 21st, Rhodes also becomes a solid place differential play.
Trevor Bayne ($7.4K)
Starts 16th
The former Daytona 500 champion makes a rare Truck Series start this weekend. He only has one Truck Series start at Darlington, and that was a 27th-place finish back in 2020. However, he has plenty of experience at the track in both the Cup and Xfinity Series.
Bayne makes for an intriguing play this weekend and is worth a gamble in lineups.
Tanner Gray ($7.3K)
Starts 12th
Gray has finished inside the top 10 in each of his previous two Darlington starts. He only has three top 10s in 2025, but one of those was a third-place finish at Las Vegas back in March. Look for Gray to post a solid finish and possibly extend his top 10 streak at the track.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series DFS Value Options
Matt Crafton ($7K)
Starts 22nd
It was announced during the off-week that Crafton will not return to the #88 ThorSport Racing Ford in 2026. The Truck Series veteran is set to retire following the season.
Crafton will want to end the 2025 season on a high note. Darlington is a good track for him to do so. He's had seven top 10 finishes in 12 career starts at the track. Crafton is a solid play at this price. Target him as a place differential play too.
Matt Mills ($6.2K)
Starts 18th
Mills finished 11th in this race last year after starting 25th. He posted finishes of 14th and 16th and Homestead and Las Vegas earlier this too.
