MLB Hitter Cheat Sheet (6/11/16): Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Picks

JB's MLB DFS hitters for 6/11/16- daily fantasy baseball cheat sheet and lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings GPPs and cash games

Welcome to the weekend, RotoBallers. I have good news, and some bad news. Always go bad news first. Unfortunately, there are no pricing typos on DFS today, like the one that left Kike Hernandez at a whopping $220 on yesterdays crazy FanDuel slate. But the good news is that I have found eight options that are almost that cheap who are poised to return hefty profits today. These players are not projected for the highest point totals of the day, but rather can give you the most bang for your buck. Finding value hitters lower in the salary list is key to building a winning DFS lineup, especially when rostering a stud like Jake Arrieta against the lowly Bravos.

That is the purpose of this article -- to provide you with the best value hitters available each day.

Today I'll be bringing you eight value hitters for MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball on FanDuel and DraftKings for June 11th, 2016. Let's get rowdy.

DFS Hitters - Lineup Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings

Bobby Wilson, TEX (C)

FanDuel: $2,200/ DraftKings: $2,300

Wilson has become a favorite for me on days where he's facing a southpaw. Against LHP this season, the 33 year old backstop is 9-17 (.529) with a HR and only two strikeouts. Today he faces off with James Paxton, who has allowed a .342 BA and three HR to right handed hitters through his first two starts.

Justin Smoak, TOR (1B)

FanDuel: $3,000/ DraftKings: $3,300

Smoak is 3-6 with two doubles lifetime against Mike Wright, who owns a 5.14 ERA and a lowly 6.43 K/9 on the season. The Blue Jays are favorites in this predicted shootout, and owning a piece of that offense for this price today is hard to pass on.

Chase Utley, LAD (2B)

FanDuel: $2,900/ DraftKings: $3,600

Utley is hitting .292 against RHP and .307 on the road in 2016. Today he draws a match-up with Jeff Samardzija at AT&T Park. For his career, Utley is slashing a .389/.421/.833 line with five XBH in 19 PA against The Shark, who has allowed 11 runs (10 earned) over 10 IP in his last two starts.

Jhonny Peralta, STL (3B/SS)

FanDuel: $2,400/ DraftKings: $3,400

Coming back from his thumb injury that kept him shelved for the first two months of the season, Peralta is still enjoying low prices on DFS sites. Since returning, he is hitting .400 with a HR and five RBI through 11 PA. Today he has a fantastic match-up against Francisco Liriano, who has been quite a disappointment in 2016. Liriano owns a 5.25 ERA through 11 starts, along with the seventh highest HR/9 ratio among qualified pitchers. Lifetime, Peralta has owned the southpaw rival, hitting .340 BA with four HR in 53 AB.

Sadly, FanDuel users cannot benefit from Peralta at the shortstop position. So for my FanDuel'ers, consider Travis Shaw ($2,700) who is continuously underpriced and facing RHP Kyle Gibson.

Tim Anderson, CWS (SS)

FanDuel: $2,200/ DraftKings: $2,000

Welcome to the show, Tim Anderson. The 22 year old shortstop prospect was promoted to the big league crew yesterday by the White Sox after hitting .304 with four HR and 11 SB in AAA this season. He won't be hitting anywhere near the top of the lineup for some time, but today will face a pitcher who is generous to all. When I say generous, I mean really generous. Among pitchers with at least 40 IP, no one in the MLB has allowed a higher HR/9 than Chris Young (3.73), not even Fettuccine Alfredo Simon! Young also owns the highest FIP, which is currently at an eye-popping 7.49. Anderson makes a great option for lineups that are rostering the always-expensive Jake Arrieta today.

Melky Cabrera, CWS (OF)

FanDuel: $3,200/ DraftKings: $3,500

Here we are picking on poor Chris Young again. Over his last three games, Melky is hitting .583 with three doubles. For his career, he is 4-9 with two doubles and a triple against Young. Another great-priced piece of a tasty stack.

Randal Grichuk, STL (OF)

FanDuel: $2,900/ DraftKings: $3,100

We doubled down against Chris Young's woes with the long ball, so to make things fair, we'll do the same to Liriano. Like Jhonny Peralta, Grichuk has enjoyed success off the Pirates LHP. He is 5-11 lifetime versus Liriano, and although it hasn't fully shown in 2016, he possesses more raw power than the AllSpark from Transformers. He's got a great shot at putting one in the bleachers today.

Colby Rasmus, HOU (OF)

FanDuel: $3,100/ DraftKings: $3,200

Following a trend in this article, we now shift focus to another pitcher having trouble keeping the ball in the park. Chris Archer has struggled mightily this season after a stellar 2015 campaign, mostly due to a HR/9 ratio ranking directly behind Liriano, and a 21.5 HR/FB%. Enter Colby Rasmus, who has hit all eight of his HR in 2016 off RHP. Rasmus is another great GPP pick is you're looking for cheap HR potential today.

Paulo Orlando, KC (OF)

FanDuel: $2,400/ DraftKings: $2,500

Orlando is a southpaw masher, hitting .353 against them in 2016. Specifically, versus Jose Quintana, he is boasting a .462 BA with three doubles in 13 PA over the last two seasons. The Royals and Quintana faced off recently at the end of May, in a game which Orlando finished 3-4 with a double and three RBI.
