Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 5/11/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Happy Sunday, RotoBallers! This afternoon, we have an action-packed eight-game slate featuring several intriguing matchups.
While the potential Coors Field shootout is not on the main slate, we have several struggling pitchers to target on the hitting side. From a pitching perspective, we have the reigning NL Cy Young winner, who appears to be rounding into form, taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Sunday, 5/11/2025. The main slate starts at 1:35 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Chris Sale - ATL - LHP ($9.6K DK; $10.4K FD)
After posting an underwhelming 6.63 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP over his first 19 innings of work this season, Chris Sale has completely flipped the script. Over his last 23 innings (four starts), the southpaw has struck out 32 batters and held a stellar 1.96 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP.
This afternoon, Sale and the Braves will face the Pittsburgh Pirates, who have posted the sixth-highest strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season. He will be chalk, but his upside is immense.

Drew Rasmussen - TB - RHP ($7.6K DK; $7.8K FD)
After logging just 28 innings in the 2024 season, Drew Rasmussen has bounced back well to start the 2025 campaign. Through his first 35 innings of work, the right-hander has held a 3.09 ERA with an impressive 1.06 WHIP.
While he typically does not exceed five innings of work in a given start, he has a favorable matchup against the Brewers, which makes him worth targeting. This season, the Brewers have generated the 11th-lowest wRC+ and sixth-lowest ISO against right-handed pitching.
MacKenzie Gore - WSH - LHP ($10.1K DK; $9.8K FD)
My other southpaw to target is MacKenzie Gore of the Washington Nationals. Gore has enjoyed a strong start to the season, especially from the strikeout department, as he has struck out 68 batters in just 46 innings. During this stint, the left-hander has posted a solid 3.33 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP.
Today, Gore will face the St. Louis Cardinals, who have generated the 10th-lowest ISO against southpaws. While they sit near the middle of the pack regarding strikeout rate against lefties, trust Gore's early season production in this matchup.
Also Consider: Reese Olson (DET), Seth Lugo (KC)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Matt Olson - ATL - 1B ($5K DK; $3.3K FD)
Matt Olson went deep on Saturday afternoon and has an excellent opportunity to stay hot at the dish on Sunday. This afternoon, the slugger will face Pittsburgh right-hander Carmen Mlodzinski, who has struggled to throw his fastball (34.7% usage).
Olson has generated an elite .771 xSLG when facing fastballs from right-handed pitching. Mlodzinski's fastball has generated a hefty .536 xSLG.

Luis Garcia Jr. - WSH - 2B ($3.8K DK; $3K FD)
After holding a modest .180/.215/.279 line through his first 17 games of the season, the 24-year-old has begun to turn the corner. Over his last 18 contests (entering Saturday), Garcia has posted a strong .279/.351/.410 line with two doubles, two long balls, and four stolen bases.
This afternoon, Garcia will face Miles Mikolas, who has a weak fastball. When facing fastballs from right-handed pitching this season, Garcia has found great success, generating a .559 xSLG.
Maikel Garcia - KC - (3B on DraftKings) (2B/OF/3B on FanDuel) ($4.2K DK; $3.2K FD)
Maikel Garcia has been one of the most productive hitters in the sport over the last 10 days. Over his previous 10 games (entering Saturday), the 25-year-old infielder has posted an impressive .432/.512/.730 slash line with three doubles, one triple, two home runs, and six stolen bases.
Today, Garcia will face Boston right-hander Lucas Giolito, who struggled in his first two starts of the season. In these outings, his changeup generated a hefty .733 xSLG. When facing changeups from right-handed pitching, Garcia has generated an elite .641 xSLG.
Also Consider: Ozzie Albies - 2B - ATL ($4.8K DK; $2.9K FD), Nathaniel Lowe - WSH - 1B ($4.2K DK; $3.1K FD), Agustin Ramirez - MIA - C ($4.2K DK; $3.1K FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
James Wood - WSH - OF ($5.5K DK; $3.7K FD)
James Wood has emerged as a legit NL MVP contender through the opening month and has a top matchup this afternoon. Entering Saturday, Wood was riding an eight-game hitting streak. During this stretch, the former top prospect has generated a .382/.447/.559 slash line with three doubles, one home run, and two stolen bases.
Facing Mikolas, Wood should be in a prime position to hit his fastball. Wood has generated an incredible .991 xSLG with a .630 xwOBA when facing fastballs from righties. Mikolas relies on this pitch 28.3% of the time (his most-used).

Jesus Sanchez - MIA - OF ($3.6K DK; $2.9K FD)
Chicago White Sox right-hander Sean Burke relies on two pitches, a fastball and a slider, both of which Sanchez should find success against. When facing fastballs from righties this season, Sanchez has generated a .675 xSLG. When seeing sliders, Sanchez has generated an impressive 1.042 xSLG.
In his last nine contests (entering Saturday), Sanchez has carried a .290 AVG with four RBI and three stolen bases.
Mark Canha - KC - OF/1B ($3K DK; $2.3K FD)
My other Royal to highlight is Mark Canha. As stated above, Giolito has struggled to command his changeup, which should provide Canha with great opportunities this afternoon. When facing changeups from righties this season, Canha has generated a strong .503 xSLG, which is only second on the team to Garcia.
Even though Canha has gone just 1-for-11 over his last six games, he should be in an excellent position to bounce back.
Also Consider: Dane Myers - MIA - OF ($3.2K DK; $2.9K FD), Marcell Ozuna - ATL - OF ($4.7K DK; $3.6K FD), TJ Friedl - CIN - OF ($4K DK; $2.7K FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Atlanta Braves vs. Carmen Mlodzinski - PIT
Mlodzinski enters this contest holding a high 6.16 ERA with a 1.66 WHIP. Under the hood, the right-hander is in the 15th percentile in xERA and the fifth in xBA. He has generated strikeouts at a low 17.1% rate and has allowed hard hits at a high 42.9% rate.
As stated above, his primary pitch, his fastball, has generated a .536 xSLG with .406 xwOBA. Expect the Braves to attack that pitch this afternoon.
Fave Combo - Olson, Albies, Ozuna, Murphy
Washington Nationals vs. Miles Mikolas - STL
Through his first 34 innings of work this season, the 36-year-old has posted a 4.76 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP. Mikolas currently sits in the 25th and 23rd percentiles in xERA and xBA, respectively.
He has generated strikeouts at a 12.2% rate (second percentile) and whiffs at a 14.6% rate (first percentile). His primary pitch, his fastball, has generated a .484 SLG, but its .621 xSLG under the hood suggests he should face even more regression.
Fave Combo - Wood, Lowe, Garcia Jr., Crews
Miami Marlins vs. Sean Burke - CWS
My final stack to highlight is the Miami Marlins facing Burke. Burke enters this game with a 4.35 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. Through 25 innings of work, Burke has generated a much higher 7.05 xERA and a .293 xBA, which place him in the third and 11th percentile, respectively.
His two most-used pitches, his fastball and slider, have generated a .472 xSLG and a .674 xSLG, respectively. The Marlins are a sneaky contrarian stack if you decide to fade the heavily favored Atlanta Braves.
Fave Combo - Sanchez, Myers, Ramirez
