MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – DraftKings Advice for 9/15/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Tuesday, September 15th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $20,000 in cash prizes, including 2.5K to 1st place!

Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium NFL Preseason + Full Season Pass (Includes DFS Lineup Picks), a $99.99 monthly value. Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Washington Nationals LHB vs David Buchanan

As left-handed batters, the Washington Nationals hold the best offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 136. Bryce Harper, in particular, looks like a great pick against opposing pitcher David Buchanan. Buchanan has been one of the worst pitchers in the league. He currently holds a 9.11 ERA with a 2.08 WHIP, and has given up at least 10 hits in three straight outings.

Houston Astros RHB vs Derek Holland

As right-handed batters, the Houston Astros hold a top ten offense against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 112. Be sure to have a look at Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve as reliable middle infield picks against opposing pitcher Derek Holland, who remains an inconsistent opponent.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Stephen Strasburg (SP, WAS) - $9800

Stephen Strasburg looks to be the ace that can provide the most value on Tuesday as he faces the Philadelphia Phillies. Strasburg has flirted with dominance several times since returning from the DL. His value comes from his potentially high strikeout rate in a rather easy matchup. The Phillies hold the second worst offense in the league against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 85.

Collin McHugh (SP, HOU) - $8300

Aside from a subpar performance in his last outing, Collin McHugh has been extremely reliable and provides incredible value as your secondary starting pitcher. McHugh holds a 2.80 ERA since the All Star Break and should be able to get back on track against the Rangers. The team holds a mediocre offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 95.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Brian McCann (C, NYY) - $3700

Brian McCann looks to be a must-start against opposing pitcher Jake Odorizzi on the road. McCann has been underperforming as of late, along with the rest of the catcher pool. However, his rather low price tag as well as his great BVP numbers against Odorizzi make him an easy pick here. McCann holds a wRC+ of 116 against right-handed pitching on the season and is also a career 11 for 17 with three home runs against Odorizzi.

Paul Goldschmidt (1B, ARI) - $5000

Paul Goldschmidt should be worth the price tag against opposing pitcher Tyson Ross at home. Goldschmidt has dominated right-handed pitching this season, holding a wOBA of .396. Goldschmidt has also hit Ross very well in his career, going 8 for 23 with two home runs. He has regressed a bit from the crazy numbers he had earlier this season. However, Goldschmidt continues to be a model of consistency and is rather affordable at this point.

Dustin Pedroia (2B, BOS) - $4000

Dustin Pedroia looks to be a safe pick against opposing pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez on the road. Pedroia holds a wRC+ of 105 against right-handed pitching on the season. He has looked very comfortable at the plate since returning from the DL, managing at least a hit in each of his four games as well as a home run. Lastly, Pedoria is a lifetime 7 for 21 against Ubaldo.

Alex Rodriguez (3B, NYY) - $4200

The renaissance season continues for Alex Rodriguez, as he looks to anchor the Yankees offense in the home stretch. Rodriguez will face opposing pitcher Jake Odorizzi on the road. This season, Rodriguez holds a wRC+ of 122 against right-handed pitching. Rodriguez already has five home runs in the month of September, while Odorizzi has been very inconsistent as of late.

Starlin Castro (SS, CHC) - $2700

Starlin Castro’s price tag has understandably fallen since losing consistent playing time. He will face opposing pitcher Gerrit Cole on the road. Castro has struggled this season against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 66. However, he does provide incredible value at this point. He has hit well as of late, having gone .296 in the month of August and holding a .435 average so far in September. Castro should be rostered at this price tag provided that he is in the starting lineup.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Yoenis Cespedes (OF, NYM) - $5500

Yoenis Cespedes’s domination at the plate can’t possibly be understated at this point. Cespedes is hitting .385 with 8 home runs in the month of September. He will face opposing pitcher Tom Koehler at home. This season, Cespedes holds a wOBA of .437 against right-handed pitching.

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $4200

Mike Trout comes at an incredible bargain with his current price tag. It is not even the case that has been struggling either. Trout will face opposing pitcher Felix Hernandez on the road. Trout holds a wRC+ of 168 against right-handed pitching on the season and has also dominated Hernandez in his career. Trout is a lifetime 21 for 61 against Hernandez.

Nolan Reimold (OF, BAL) - $2700

Nolan Reimold makes for a terrific sleeper pick as your tertiary outfielder against opposing pitcher Joe Kelly at home. Reimold holds a wOBA of .305 against right-handed pitching this season. He has hit .360 with three home runs since returning to action one week ago. Definitely have a look at Reimold if you’ve spent heavily elsewhere.
