MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 6/9/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. Here are my DFS picks for DraftKings for Tuesday, June 9th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $250,000 in cash prizes, including 20K to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Oakland Athletics LHB vs Nick Martinez

The Athletics just keep rolling, and have performed well despite letting go of quite a bit of firepower this offseason. The Athletics hold the fifth best offense in the league against right handed pitching as left handers with a wRC+ of 116. This looks to be a nice matchup against opposing pitcher Nick Martinez. Despite Martinez’s performances earlier in the year, he has struggled as of late due to his low strikeout rate. Look out for Oakland’s switch hitters, as well as Josh Reddick, as an excellent value pick in the outfield.

Miami Marlins Middle of the Lineup vs Mark Buehrle

The Marlins? The Marlins offense don’t get much credit at all. However, the Marlins have actually hit left handed pitching incredibly well this year, posting a wRC+ of 112. This is the number four ranked offense in the league against left handed pitching. Tuesday looks to be an excellent opportunity to load up on some guys from the middle of the Marlins lineup such as Marcell Ozuna and Giancarlo Stanton, as they will be in a nice position to drive in runs. Mark Buehrle may have pitched well as of late but his abysmal strikeout rate spells trouble to come for the veteran lefty.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Corey Kluber – SP – Indians ($10900)

Corey Kluber is well worth the price tag as your primary starting pitcher for Tuesday. Kluber has been absolutely incredible since the beginning of May and has completely reclaimed his status as one of the top pitchers in the league. He has a great matchup against the Seattle Mariners, a team whose offense ranks in the bottom ten against right handed pitching with a wRC+ of 89. The Mariners also have the fourth highest strikeout rate in the league, so expect Kluber to have a fun time against this lineup.

Francisco Liriano – SP – Pirates ($9700)

Francisco Liriano is another ace-quality pitcher who deserves a look for your primary pitching slot. Liriano has been pitching well as of late and now holds a 3.24 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP. He has also thrown three consecutive quality starts, two of which feature double digit strikeouts. Expect Liriano to have a nice game on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers. We always pick on the Brewers but the results speak for themselves. As a team, the Brewers hold the second worst offense in the league against left handed pitching with a wRC+ of just 63.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Jonathan Lucroy – C – Brewers ($3300)

Jonathan Lucroy continues to be the exception to the norm for the Brewers lineup. Lucroy is an absolute must play with this super low price tag. He has returned from injury and is producing consistently. Heading into this week, he is 8 for his last 23 with a home run and only 2 strikeouts during that span. Francisco Liriano will have a nice game but it shouldn’t be at Lucroy’s expense.

Miguel Cabrera – 1B – Tigers ($4600)

At Miguel Cabrera’s current price tag, he may very well be a bargain pick at first base for your lineup. Cabrera has slowed down a bit over the weekend but still holds incredible numbers on the year. He is batting .320 with 12 home runs and 38 RBI. He has also dominated his matchup against opposing pitcher Jon Lester. Against Lester, Cabrera is a career 12 for 23 with one home run.

Brian Dozier – 2B – Twins ($4800)

Brian Dozier has really improved upon his already excellent numbers from last year. This year, he has provided a solid average to go with his already noted power. On the year, Dozier holds a .267 average with 11 home runs and 28 RBI. Sitting atop this Twins lineup has made Dozier a run-scoring machine, leading the league with 47 runs scored. Expect more of the same on Tuesday as Dozier matches up against Chris Young, who has given up 10 runs in his last 11 innings.

Will Middlebrooks – 3B – Padres ($3400)

Will Middlebrooks looks like an incredible bargain pick at third base for Tuesday as he matches up against opposing pitcher Mike Foltynewicz. He has been fairly consistent of late and is one of the hottest third baseman in the league. Heading into this week, Middlebrooks is riding a seven game hitting streak. He is batting .244 on the year with 8 home runs and 26 RBI. Foltynewicz on the other hand holds a 4.29 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP. Foltynewicz has also allowed a home run in five of seven starts this season.

Hanley Ramirez – SS – Red Sox ($4800)

Hanley Ramirez continues to play incredibly well, as he now holds a .277 average with 13 home runs and 32 RBI on the year. Ramirez is 10 for his last 22 with a home run. Injury concerns from earlier this year seems to have completely faded away. Ramirez should be well worth his price tag against opposing pitcher Miguel Gonzalez, off whom Ramirez has some home run success.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Jose Bautista – OF – Jays ($5700)

Jose Bautista has now claimed the title of the most expensive outfielder on DraftKings, but don’t let his price tag deter you from selecting him. Bautista has hit four home runs in his last five games, and now holds a .262 average with 11 home runs and 36 RBI on the year. Expect Bautista to have a nice day at the plate against opposing pitcher Dan Haren. Bautista is a lifetime 6 for 20 against Haren with a home run.

Josh Reddick – OF – Athletics ($4400)

As mentioned earlier, Josh Reddick should be an excellent pick for your secondary outfield slot against opposing pitcher Nick Martinez. Reddick is streaky but holds excellent numbers on the year with a .306 average with 8 home runs and 32 RBI. He is also 7 for his last 17 so we can hope he is hitting up again this time around.

Cameron Maybin – OF – Braves ($3300)

Cameron Maybin is an incredible pick for your tertiary outfield slot. Since receiving the starting job at center field for the Braves earlier this year, Maybin has produced incredibly well in all categories. On the year, Maybin holds a .296 average with 5 home runs and 26 RBI. He is also in an excellent position to score runs by hitting near the top of the Braves lineup, and owns 22 runs scored with 9 stolen bases. He is 11 for his last 19 heading into this week, and should continue to play well against opposing pitcher James Shields.
