Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups Include Marcelo Mayer, Daniel Palencia, Bubba Chandler, Jac Caglianone, Cam Smith

Daniel Palencia - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Closers and Saves, Waiver Wire Pickups

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 9 (2025). Free-agent hitters and pitchers to add include Marcelo Mayer, Daniel Palencia, Bubba Chandler, Jac Caglianone, Cam Smith.

June officially arrives on Sunday; incredibly, we are already two months into the MLB season. The grind continues, and it's time to scour the waiver wire to pick up an injury replacement or stash the latest top prospect. At RotoBaller HQ, we rank who to prioritize in free agency with our mid-week waiver rankings for Week 9-- May 26  through June 1 to help fantasy managers in leagues that allow daily moves. This edition of waiver wire rankings features Marcelo Mayer, Danny Palencia, Bubba Chandler, Jac Caglianone, Cam Smith, Cade Horton, and Jake Meyers.

There are key performances, prospect promotions, and injuries to watch for this week. Chicago Cubs reliever Danny Palencia has secured the Cubs' closer role by racking up four saves with five strikeouts over four scoreless innings over his last four games. Kansas City Royals top prospect Jac Caglianone continues to make his case for a promotion by slashing .343/.351/.800 with five home runs and 10 RBI across 37 plate appearances with Triple-A Omaha. Injuries continue to pile up as Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan is day-to-day with right wrist inflammation.

For anyone unfamiliar, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free-agent adds off waivers. Stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver-wire moves or multiple waiver-wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday. This article will guide you through our weekly ranking of the relevant waiver-wire pickup options, including how to prioritize them for your league (depending on the league size).
