Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups Include Bubba Chandler, Sal Frelick, Andrew Painter, Carson Williams, Jhostynxon Garcia

Sal Frelick - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 21 (2025). Free-agent hitters and pitchers to add include Bubba Chandler, Sal Frelick, Andrew Painter, Carson Williams, and Jhostynxon Garcia.

Incredibly, there are a few weeks of August left, and we have just over a month of the 2025 MLB regular season. There is still time to catch up in the standings in roto leagues and make a playoff push in H2H formats. At RotoBaller HQ, we updated our top 100 hitters and pitchers list for Week 21--August 18 through August 24 to help fantasy managers stay on top of the waiver wire in leagues that allow daily moves.

There are key performances, prospect promotions, and injuries to watch for this week. The Pirates are finally calling up top pitching prospect Bubba Chandler ahead of Friday's game against the Colorado Rockies. Although Chandler isn't expected to start on Friday, and will come out of the bullpen in a bulk role. Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick continues to swing a hot bat and is slashing .361/.489/.500 over his last 45 plate appearances. An injury to monitor is Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, who exited Wednesday's loss to the Rockies with a thigh contusion.

For anyone unfamiliar, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free-agent adds off waivers. Stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver-wire moves or multiple waiver-wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday. This article will guide you through our weekly ranking of the relevant waiver-wire pickup options, including how to prioritize them for your league (depending on the league size).
