Dolphins running back (RB) Lynn Bowden Jr. is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Miami Dolphins were extremely short-handed at running back in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals, which enabled versatile rookie running back Lynn Bowden Jr. to see the most opportunities of his young career thus far.
Bowden only had one rush in the game, which he took for 11 yards, but he was extremely active and efficient in the passing game. He caught all four of his targets for 41 yards. He tied with DeVante Parker for second on the team in receptions in the game, behind only Mike Gesicki, who had nine.
The Dolphins were without Matt Breida (COVID-19), DeAndre Washington (hamstring) and Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) this week, but they did have their current No. 1 back Myles Gaskin as well as Patrick Laird. Gaskin gained 141 yards on 23 touches (including 21 carries) while Laird managed 22 yards on five touches (three carries).
Bowden is only worth looking at in PPR leagues of 14 teams or deeper at this point. His potential in the passing game is extremely intriguing, but whether he'll carve out a big enough role in the offense to warrant a roster spot in any fantasy formats is still yet to be seen.
