ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba got off to a rocky start to his NFL career, but he's finally putting things together. The former Ohio Stae star led the Seahawks in targets this week with 11, catching seven of those for 62 yards.
JSN's 11 targets this week were the most of his NFL career, and his 62 yards were just one off of his career-high mark. Smith-Njigba is an extremely talented player and it's taken a bit for him to start contributing consistently, but Smith-Njigba is finally starting to fulfill a lot of that hype he had before the season.
He's now had at least 40 receiving yards in five consecutive games, with five or more targets in four of those contests. With Geno Smith playing some really good football at the QB position fo the Seahawks, JSN's arrow is definitely trending up right now.
The presence of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett puts a little damper on JSN's upside, but he's getting more and more work and is startable as a flex option in 12-team leagues. You're not finding much at this point in the season on the waiver wire with that kind of upside.
