Davante Adams Injury Update

Davante Adams has been dealing with a bad case of the flu this past week and missed the first two team practices because of it. However, the 29-year-old returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

The top receiving threat for Las Vegas is expected to play Sunday, but he is a name to monitor due to the slight possibility that he is limited because of the illness. Adams should be considered a top-tier fantasy wide receiver against a New Orleans Saints defense that is missing top cornerback Marshawn Lattimore.

DK Metcalf Injury Update

DK Metcalf was carted off the field last week due to a knee injury but has avoided surgery. The rumors surrounding the 24-year-olds status for Sunday have been fairly negative, but Metcalf was able to put in limited participation at Friday's practice and is officially labeled as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Metcalf will attempt to suit up, even if in a limited fashion, on Sunday. However, it is more likely the team gives the fourth-year receiver a rest. With two more weeks until Seattle's bye, Metcalf's status for Week 9 against the Cardinals is up in the air unless he logs more practice time.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury Update

Amon-Ra St. Brown was taken out of the game after being hit on his first reception due to displaying concussion-like symptoms. The 23-year-old was never diagnosed with a concussion, but due to new league rules, he had to sit out the rest of the game. St. Brown was a full practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday.

St. Brown comes back with a favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins in a game that is likely to be a shootout. The second-year receiver has been frustrating for fantasy managers since Week 4, but he is primed to bounce back this week and should be considered a borderline WR1.

Deebo Samuel Injury Update

Deebo Samuel suffered a hamstring injury this past week against the Kansas City Chiefs and has failed to log any practice time since. The 26-year-old was labeled as "day-to-day" to start the week but was officially ruled out on Friday for Sunday's matchup against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams.

San Francisco has a bye next week, so there is a good chance Samuel could return in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers as long as he can log some time in practice and the injury is as minor as the team says it is. Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and newly acquired Christian McCaffrey should see a target bump in Samuel's absence.

Ja'Marr Chase Injury Update

Ja'Marr Chase was listed as a non-participant this past Thursday due to a hip injury. News later broke that the star receiver also had a torn labrum and would miss 4-6 weeks due to the injury, but has avoided the IR after getting a second opinion. Chase is out for Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns.

It is a massive blow for fantasy managers, but at the very least, more positive reports seem to be surfacing about the surprise injury. Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd will see an increase in targets, but tight end Hayden Hurst and wide receiver Mike Thomas could also benefit. Look for more news on Chase after the team's Monday night matchup.

Brandin Cooks Injury Update

Brandin Cooks has been a full participant in practice this week, but he popped up on the injury report as questionable for Sunday's game against Tennessee due to a wrist injury. With trade rumors emerging for the 29-year-old, there is a chance Cooks sits this week out.

If you are relying on Cooks this week, have a backup plan in place. If the veteran receiver is going to be dealt, there are two possible outcomes. He could be heavily involved to garner more interest, or a potential suiter is already lined up and the team elects to have the veteran sit the game out. If he plays, Cooks should be considered a solid WR2 against Tennessee.

Tyler Lockett Injury Update

Tyler Lockett has been playing through a hamstring injury the past few weeks but has added a rib issue to the list this week. The 30-year-old was already on track to be listed as questionable, which he is for Week 8, but has added a higher chance to potentially sit out with the late addition to the injury report.

The Seahawks are likely without DK Metcalf (knee) this Sunday, even though he is listed as questionable, so Lockett being available against the red-hot New York Giants is almost a necessity. However, Lockett could be on the wrong side of questionable if the rib injury is significant. Monitor his status closely this weekend and consider Lockett a risky WR2 if he suits up.

Allen Lazard Injury Update

Allen Lazard suffered a shoulder injury this past week against the Washington Commanders when he was sandwiched between two defenders. The 26-year-old failed to log any practice time this past week and is officially out for Sunday night's game against the Buffalo Bills.

The injury is not considered long-term, but Lazard will need to log participation in a few days of practice next week to have a chance to suit up against the Detroit Lions in a favorable matchup. Sammy Watkins will slot in as the No. 1 wide receiver Sunday, with Romeo Doubs and potentially Christian Watson filling in as the No. 2  option.

Micheal Thomas Injury Update

Michael Thomas has been sidelined since Week 4 due to a foot injury. The 29-year-old has yet to return to practice and was officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday.

With head coach Dennis Allen stating there is "no timetable for Thomas' return," fantasy managers need to plan on not seeing the veteran for the long haul. Chris Olave has taken over as the clear No. 1 wide receiver in New Orleans and would remain as such even upon Thomas' return.

Jarvis Landry Injury Update

Jarvis Landry has been missing since Week 5 due to an ankle injury. The veteran slot receiver will miss his fourth game in a row after being ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday.

Landry does not seem close to returning and does not have the luxury of a bye until Week 14. He can safely be dropped to the waiver wire if you need to find a viable fantasy option this week, while Tre'Quan Smith and Rashid Shaheed will see an increase in snap share while Landry remains sidelined.

Christian Watson Injury Update

Christian Watson has missed the past two weeks due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 5. The rookie has logged limited participation in practice this week and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday night's matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

With Allen Lazard (shoulder) out this week, Watson has a chance to see an increase in targets if he is active. However, with head coach Matt LaFleur stating that he is "cautiously optimistic" the rookie will play, there is a good chance Watson is eased back into the offense and limited on Sunday. He will be too tough to trust for fantasy against a stiff Buffalo defense, but he is a player to watch for a potential pickup on waivers next week.

Mack Hollins Injury Update

Mack Hollins has been battling a heel injury this past week. The 29-year-old played through the injury last week and did not come off the field. He logged limited participation in practice this week and is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Since Hollins played through the injury last week, he should be able to suit up in Week 8. It is a favorable matchup against a banged-up Saints secondary, but with Hunter Renfrow healthy and tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) potentially suiting up as well, Hollins is nothing more than a boom-or-bust WR4 for fantasy managers this week.

Nico Collins Injury Update

Nico Collins suffered a groin injury last week playing against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 23-year-old did not log any practice time this week but was still listed officially as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Collins should be considered doubtful more than questionable after failing to participate in practice this past week. The second-year receiver's absence could leave Houston extremely thin at the position, with Brandin Cooks (wrist) also listed as questionable. Philip Dorsett seems to be the biggest beneficiary this week but is nothing more than a desperation WR4 option for fantasy managers.

Corey Davis Injury Update

Corey Davis suffered a sprained MCL this past Sunday playing against the Denver Broncos and has failed to log any practice participation this week. The 27-year-old was officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots on Friday.

Davis was a long shot to play this week, and his absence will lead to more targets for Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore. With the Jets' bye coming up in Week 10, Davis could be held out of action until the team returns in Week 11 for their second matchup with the Patriots. Davis can safely be dropped to the waiver wire in favor of better options for the next few weeks.

Jahan Dotson Injury Update

Jahan Dotson suffered a hamstring injury a few weeks ago and has failed to log any practice time since. The team officially ruled the rookie out for Sunday's matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Friday.

The Commanders don't have a bye until Week 14. Dotson will miss his fourth game in a row Sunday, meaning we could see the rookie return to practice in the next two weeks. Terry McLaurin will continue to be peppered with targets in Dotson's absence.

Noah Brown Injury Update

Noah Brown popped up on the injury report Wednesday with a foot injury. The 26-year-old missed all practice sessions this past week but was officially listed as questionable on Friday for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

The hope seems to be that Brown will practice in a limited fashion on Saturday and be ready to roll on Sunday. However, it is tough for a player to suit up Sunday after logging three straight DNPs during the week. Brown's absence should lead to an increase in targets for Michael Gallup and even tight end Dalton Schultz.

Kenny Golladay Injury Update

Kenny Golladay has not played since Week 4 due to a knee injury. The 28-year-old has not been on the practice field in any capacity and was officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks on Friday.

Golladay has not caught a pass since the season opener and seems nowhere near close to returning. He should be on the waiver wire in all redraft leagues.
