Fantasy Aces DFS Advice: Week 4 NFL - Daily Fantasy Football Picks

Hey there RotoBallers! In this article I will be taking a look at some of my favorite FantasyAces DFS lineups plays for Week 4 of the NFL slate.

These picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, and pricing on Fantasy Aces. Let's get to the picks!

Editor's Note: Be sure to check out FantasyAces DFS contests for Week 4. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS), normally a $59.99 value. Expert DFS research, sample lineups, matchup ratings and lots more!

Quarterback Plays for Fantasy Aces

Cam Newton (@ ATL, $7,300)

Newton is coming off a rare outing which saw him throw three interceptions and account for just one touchdown, which came on the ground. Newton shapes up as the top quarterback option on the slate, not just because of his plus matchup against Atlanta, but also because he offers such a safe floor with his rushing upside. The Falcons pass defense has been one of the worst units in the league this season, ranking 31st in DVOA according to Football Outsiders. Coming off a slow game and taking on one of his main NFC South rivals, Newton is going to absolutely dismantle Atlanta this weekend.

Trevor Siemian (vs. TB, $6,000)

Siemian broke out big time last week as he roasted the Bengals for 312 passing yards and four touchdowns. While it's understandable to dismiss Siemian's Week 3 performance as an outlier, his Week 4 matchup against the Buccaneers is really hard to pass up. Tampa Bay has been getting destroyed through the air this season, allowing 816 yards and seven passing touchdowns and ranking 25th in DVOA through the first three weeks of the season. Those numbers would be even higher, but Tampa Bay faced the weak pass offense of the Rams in Week 3. Siemian shapes to be a great QB2 at a value price on Aces this weekend.

Running Back Plays for Fantasy Aces

Melvin Gordon (vs. NO, $5,100)

Gordon operated as the Chargers' bell cow back in Week 3, playing on 87% of the team's snaps and seeing all of the running back carries against the Colts. He didn't have an amazing game, posting just 35 yards on the ground, but he scored a touchdown and added four catches for 43 yards to raise his fantasy performance. Gordon's price on Aces actually dropped $50 this week and he has the top running back matchup in the league as he will take on the Saints. You surely saw what Atlanta's Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman combined to do against the Saints' run defense last week. Gordon is a perfect blend of value, opportunity, and matchup, and should be strongly considered as a lock for all lineups this weekend.

Jordan Howard (vs. DET, $4,300)

Howard will definitely be a popular play this weekend as he's a starting running back with the price of a backup. Regardless of ownership, Howard's going to be someone you will want to target, especially in cash games. It is just not all that often that you can get a player with Howard's projected workload at his pricing. The rookie back looked good last Sunday night against the Cowboys, rolling up 92 all-purpose yards and showing excellent chops in the passing game. A matchup against a Lions defense which ranks 27th in DVOA should help Howard have another strong showing in his first career start.

Wide Receiver Plays for Fantasy Aces

Marvin Jones (vs. CHI, $5,200)

Jones' breakout game came in Week 3, where he racked up 205 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers. With many of the top receiving options having tough matchups, this might be a week to take advantage of the cheaper receiver options on Fantasy Aces and pay up at the other positions. Jones will take on a Bears secondary that is not very good and is without Kyle Fuller. Jones continues to be a target hog in Detroit as he and quarterback Matthew Stafford have shown instant chemistry with one another. Jones is one of the top receiver plays on the board again this week.

Amari Cooper (@ BAL, $4,950)

Cooper is simply way too cheap on Fantasy Aces this weekend. He's mostly projected to line up across from Jimmy Smith, who has been decent in coverage this year, but Cooper will also get to take some shots against Baltimore's left cornerback Shareece Wright. Wright has not been very effective in coverage this season. The Ravens are coming off a game in Week 3 where they allowed Allen Robinson to get on track with two touchdown catches. Cooper, by the way, was overthrown by Derek Carr on what would have been a touchdown in Week 3. Be thankful that target missed or he would likely be a lot more expensive on Aces in Week 4.

Tight End Play for Fantasy Aces

Jordan Reed (vs. CLE, $5,000)

Fantasy players keep waiting for Reed's big game as he's been pretty pedestrian by his own lofty standard. It's doubtful they will have to look much further past a showdown with a dismal Browns defense as Reed is primed to have a huge game this weekend. Reed is averaging over eight targets per game, although just three of his targets have come in the red zone. Expect that number to come up as Reed is Washington's top threat when they get near the goal line. With Washington leaning extremely pass-heavy due to a non-existent running game, Reed is going to have his chances against a Browns defense that is ranked just 22nd in the league in pass defense DVOA against tight ends.
