FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/1/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Troy Klauder highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/1/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We've got three slates on FanDuel today. The early only slate starts at 1:05pm eastern and covers the Cardinals-Pirates and White Sox-Indians matchup. The main slate starts at 7:05pm and covers nine games. There is also an all day slate that includes all matchups. I'll be covering players across all slates.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/1/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Domingo German - P, NYY vs DET (FD - $7,000)

The Tigers lineup is clearly one of the weakest in baseball, and they have proven this to be true after scoring just six runs in their first four games, including two shutouts against a not-so-great Toronto rotation. German has a ton of strikeout upside, as he posted a 27.2% K-rate in 85 2/3 innings last season. While he's a bit risky in Yankee Stadium, he's a great GPP play for his potential to roll through this weak Detroit offense.

Julio Urias - P, LAD vs SF (FD - $7,200)

Urias is another cheap starting pitcher option who should have a strong outing on Monday. The immensely talented 22-year-old is coming off of a fantastic spring and gets to face an incredibly easy lineup in the Giants. Urias will be in a pitcher-friendly park at home in LA, and he's tough to avoid in any contest at this price.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Freddie Freeman - 1B, ATL at CHC (FD - $4,200)

Freeman has been putting in work from Atlanta's three-hole, and the elite hitter is a virtual lock for production every night. He's coming off of a 137 wRC+ in 2018 and is a great source for runs and RBI batting between Josh Donaldson and Ronald Acuna. Freeman is an outstanding pick to build your cash game lineups around.

Jonathan Villar - 2B, BAL at TOR (FD - $2,700)

Villar is dirt cheap for a guy leading off. Even if it's in the Orioles lineup, Villar will maximize his plate appearances atop the order, which means that he will have lots of chances to produce at the plate. He gets a hitter-friendly park in Toronto and a good matchup against Sean Reid-Foley, who has a 5.13 ERA in seven career starts. Speed is an often overlooked skill in DFS, but Villar can also score you lots of points on the basepaths.

Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS at OAK (FD - $3,100)

Devers has lots of value as the three-hitter in a loaded Red Sox lineup. Boston should have a big day against A's starter Aaron Brooks, who is probably the weakest starter on today's slate. Devers works best as part of a Red Sox stack if you're able to afford any of their more expensive bats.

Carlos Correa - SS, HOU at TEX (FD - $3,400)

Even coming off of a down year, Correa is way too cheap for a guy with his talent. He'll be batting cleanup for the Astros against Drew Smyly, a spot that should result in lots of RBI opportunities. Correa has crushed left-handed pitching to the tune of a 136 wRC+ in his career and is in an extreme hitter's park in Texas.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Yasiel Puig - OF, MIL at CIN (FD - $3,100)

A popular draft day target, Puig has a ton of value as the Reds three-hitter and is at a very low price for his ability. His slow start will soon be forgotten with a matchup against Zach Davies, who had a 4.77 ERA last season. Cincinnati is an ideal park to hit in where Puig can flex his power.

Leonys Martin - OF, CLE vs CWS (FD - $2,900)

The Indians are a team to stack against Ivan Nova, who had a 4.57 FIP with a 1.45 HR/9 in 2018. Martin is an underrated option to use against right-handed pitching after putting up a 117 wRC+ against righties last year. Most importantly, he's leading off for the Indians, which will give him lots of chances to score at a cheap price.
