FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/30/17): MLB DFS Advice

The top FanDuel daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 5/30/17 by Kevin Luchansky. Expert MLB DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for FanDuel.

Welcome back to reality, my friends. I hope everyone enjoyed the three-day weekend and paid tribute to our soldiers, past and present. We have a 14-game Main slate on deck this evening, with first pitch at 7:05 Eastern.

There's a lot to breakdown, but before we get into that, let's glance at a few Vegas lines that should be helpful when deciphering between which players to choose - especially for pitchers and stacking. The teams with the highest implied run totals are the Rockies and Blue Jays way ahead of every other team, at 6.0 and 5.9, respectively. Then after a bit of a drop, we have the Mariners, Rays and Rangers all at 5 - which is a pretty attractive number as well. The biggest moneyline favorites - helpful for selecting cash game pitchers - are the Blue Jays, Red Sox and Rockies, at -180, -165 and -140, respectively.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/30/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value playsLet's get to it.

Offensive Stacks

Toronto Blue Jays versus Asher Wojciechowski

The Blue Jays offense is really starting to click - most recently marked by their offensive explosion just last night - and I have a feeling the team is going to have fun picking on Wojciechowski - a former first round pick by the club back in 2010. The Blue Jays are currently implied for a slate high six runs this evening, and it has a lot to do with the return of Josh Donaldson, the resurgence of Jose Bautista and the middle of the order finally settling in. Oh, it also has a good deal to do with the matchup. Wojciechowski was once highly touted but the 28 year old really hasn't made it work at the MLB level. He's running into a hot team tonight and one that has several hitters with strong wOBA and ISO splits. My favorite Blue Jays targets tonight are Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, Kendrys Morales and Russell Martin.

Also Consider: Boston Red Sox versus Jose Quintana

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Chris Sale - SP, at CWS ($11,400)

It definitely felt odd typing "at CWS" after Sale's name. Nonetheless, I won't feel weird about slotting him in to nearly all of my lineups tonight as this is a fantastic matchup against his former team. Sale has been nothing short of magnificent this year with multiple double-digit strikeout games, but I'll let the stats tell the rest of the story here - 1.02 WHIP, 1.06 HR/9 and a beautiful 10.5 K/9. He's also been going pretty deep into games, which makes the K/9 even more attractive. As for the White Sox, they are atrocious against left-handed pitching, striking out in 26% of their at-bats and posting a team wOBA of just .266.

Luis Severino - SP, at BAL ($9,200)

If you aren't keen on paying up for the likes of Sale tonight, Severino offers a nice, cheaper pivot play with similar upside. Of course, there is extra risk seeing as Severino isn't as consistent as Sale and faces a powerful team - but the strikeout upside is nearly similar. Severino is greatly improved this season from his 2016 campaign, and his 1.1 WHIP and 10.5 K/9 are very impressive marks - and quite attractive for DFS tournament play. Tonight, he faces an Orioles team with a projected lineup that has struck out in 28% of their at-bats versus right-handed pitching this season.

Also Consider: Robbie Ray - SP, at PIT ($9,400)

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Robinson Chirinos - C, vs TB ($2,800)

Power, good matchup and upside - Chirinos packs it all in to an extremely reasonable price tag. Chirinos is sporting a hard hit rate over 40% in the past two weeks and he has excellent splits against righties - .349 wOBA and a .276 ISO.

Hanley Ramirez - 1B, at CWS ($3,300)

HanRam has been destroying lefties this year, so much so that I can barely believe these splits - .431 wOBA and a .316 ISO - this season. He matches up well in a nice park for hitters against a pitcher in Jose Quintana who has been struggling quite a bit this year.

Chad Pinder - 2B, at CLE ($2,800)

Pinder is a great value play for tonight - something you'll need to find if you're paying up for the elite pitching available. His last few games leave something to be desired but the Statcast data tells us he's been a bit unlucky - as he's posted a hard hit rate over 40% in that time. He also has a great ISO split - .235 - which definitely makes me want to play him against a pitcher like Trevor Bauer.

Mike Moustakas - 3B, vs DET (3,000)

There are a number of strong directions you could take down the third base paths tonight, but Moose is ideal for tournament play. The matchup against Verlander could scare some off, but it shouldn't when you do a deep dive into the numbers. Moustakas has great power splits (.269 ISO, .537 slugging percentage) and is getting the ball in the air a ton (47% fly ball rate). In his past three starts, Verlander has allowed a .280 ISO.

Trevor Story - SS, vs SEA ($3,500)

Coors Field exposure in the form a power-hitting shortstop at just $3,500 is really ideal. Story has a good matchup against an explosion-prone Ariel Miranda and he also boasts strong splits against southpaws this season - .417 wOBA and a .370 ISO.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Jorge Bonifacio - OF, vs DET ($2,800)

A deal too good to pass up. As is the case with Moustakas, I'll be picking on Verlander in certain spots tonight. Bonifacio is a great place to start, seeing as he's a bargain-bin price and has excellent splits in both wOBA (.390) and in the power department (.315 ISO).

Nelson Cruz - OF, at COL ($4,600)

Cruz is another way to get nice exposure to Coors today - he's not as cheap as Story, but his numbers are too good to pass up. He owns a .407 wOBA and .319 ISO.

Also Consider: Aaron Judge - OF, at BAL ($3,900)
