Early DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/7/23)

Jayden Daniels - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, QB, NFL Draft Sleepers

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the early slate on Saturday (10/7/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

The last great college football season rolls into Week 6 this week. We have a smaller slate with 12 games on tap for the early main slate on DraftKings. Most teams are in conference play now and we have no FCS teams on the slate. In fact, this slate is made entirely of Power Five schools. We start off in Columbia with The Bayou Tigers taking on the regular ones. Maryland heads to the Shoe. Wisconsin welcomes Rutgers. And we have a little thing called the Red River Shootout in Dallas. If you know, you know.

We start the afternoon in Pasadena with Washington State heading to the Rose Bowl. A half-hour later we get Wake in Clemson. Iowa brings in Purdue. The Hokies fly south to Tallahassee. Syracuse leaves Dome sweet Dome for Chapel Hill. Bama heads west to take on A&M. We close this out with Vandy heading to the Swamp for some Gator hunting. We also have UCF heading to Lawrence to take on Kansas.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/7/23, locking at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Jayden Daniels, LSU ($9,000)

Jayden Daniels was good out of conference. He has been great in conference play. Daniels has 128.3 DraftKings points in three conference games so far. Missouri is ranked 107th out of 131 teams in pass defense. You know where this is going. Daniels' rushing ability is just gravy. He should be the highest-priced player on this slate, but I'm sure glad that he's not.

Brady Cook, Missouri ($7,400)

The Red River game has shootout in the name, but the real shootout will be in Columbia. Both passing defenses are in the bottom 30 of FBS with LSU ranking in the bottom three. Brady Cook threw for 395 yards last week against Vandy and has three straight games of more than 340 passing yards. I'll go ahead and book a fourth here. You can also book that Cook won't throw an interception. He hasn't thrown one in nearly two years...

Deacon Hill, Iowa ($5,300)

Deacon Hill is better than Cade McNamara. I can guarantee it. His first real game action wasn't anything special, but we saw what kind of arm he has if the Iowa receivers can catch the ball. There were at least five dropped passes that I saw. I get it. Iowa receivers aren't used to having anything flying at them. They'll learn. Hill has a lot of upside against a Purdue defense that hasn't stopped anyone with the possible exception of Illinois.

Also consider: Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma ($8,900); Cameron Ward, Washington State (8,600); John Rhys Plumlee, Central Florida ($7,900); Garrett Shrader, Syracuse ($7,200); Jason Bean, Kansas ($6,700); Graham Mertz, Florida ($6,400); Kyron Drones, Virginia Tech ($5,400)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Braelon Allen, Wisconsin ($8,400)

The absence of Chez Mellusi is going to return Braelon Allen to workhorse status like he was in 2022. I don't see him getting 25-30 carries in this offense, but Allen has repeatedly proven that he can put up a ton of DFS points with 15-20 carries and a couple of receptions. He's going to be a huge piece of the offense against a Rutgers defense inflated by inferior opponents.

Devin Neal, Kansas ($6,300)

UCF got carved up by DJ Giddens and Kansas State two weeks ago and Baylor had some success last week as well. Devin Neal won't get quite the carries that Giddens did, but his upside is still very high. I'm a big fan of Daniel Hishaw too. Kansas is going to run a lot in this game. One, Bean isn't the passer that Jalon Daniels is, but it also keeps the UCF offense off the field. But wait! There's more! UCF has allowed 10 rushing touchdowns in the last three games.

Bhayshul Tuten, Virginia Tech ($5,500)

This Virginia Tech offense just looks different (in a good way) with Kyron Drones running it. The Hokies gave Grant Wells a chance last year. While he was solid, he doesn't bring the added element and energy to the offense that Drones does. With Drones out there, defenses have to account for the quarterback run, which isn't really in play with Wells. That leaves a lot more room for Bhayshul Tuten to run, and run he has. He has 197 yards on 33 carries over the last two games. The nine receptions are just a bonus.

Also consider: TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State ($7,400); Jonathon Brooks, Texas ($6,700); Logan Diggs, LSU ($6,200); LeQuint Allen, Syracuse ($5,800); CJ Baxter, Texas ($4,600)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Luther Burden III, Missouri ($6,900)

We've already covered just how outstandingly awful LSU's pass defense is. The last thing they want is to face a guy like Luther Burden III. He has four straight 100-yard games and missed that mark by four yards in the opener. Burden also has at least seven receptions in every game and has two games with multiple touchdowns. I'll say this is five straight 100-yard games and a third multi-touchdown game for Burden today.

Malik Nabers, LSU ($6,500)

Malik Nabers has been just as good if not better than Burden. He has a staggering 471 yards on 29 receptions and four touchdowns in the last three games alone. Florida State was the only team that came close to putting a lid on Nabers and he still had six catches for 67 yards in that one. Nabers is as close to a sure thing as you can get.

Kyle Williams, Washington State ($5,400)

Josh Kelly is a human highlight reel, but Kyle Williams is going to be the guy getting extra work with Lincoln Victor out. When we last saw Williams, he delivered seven receptions for 174 yards in the Pac-2 Championship win over Oregon State. Williams has scored a touchdown in all four games this year. Expect another one and triple-digit yardage here in the upset of UCLA.

Da'Quan Felton, Virginia Tech ($5,100)

Ali Jennings is out for the Hokies again. In his absence, Da'Quan Felton has quickly become a favorite of Kyron Drones. The Virginia Tech offense is evolving, also in a good way, with Grant Wells out. The Hokies should go with what's working. Drones to Felton is working.

Also consider: Ricky Pearsall, Florida ($7,400); Xavier Worthy, Texas ($6,300); Brian Thomas, LSU ($6,100); Josh Kelly, Washington State ($6,000); Tyler Brown, Clemson ($5,300); Ja'Tavion Sanders, Texas ($4,900); Nic Anderson, Oklahoma ($4,800); Erick All, Iowa ($4,200)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

Missouri

I can't say anything more than I already have. Cook and Burden are the guys you need and I have no issue with that mini-stack in any lineup. Oklahoma transfer Theo Wease and freshman Marquis Johnson are going to get a lot of work as well. Cook should have as good of a game as he did against Vanderbilt. Cody Schrader and Nathaniel Peat still split the work evenly in the backfield. It works for Missouri. It doesn't work for DFS.

LSU

The over/under on this game is 64. They're going to blow by that by halftime. Jayden Daniels, Nabers, and Thomas are a superb stack against an also poor Missouri pass defense. They are a little more expensive than their Missouri counterparts, but the pecking order is a little more established at LSU. Logan Diggs also gets enough work out of the backfield to consider him as a pivot. He won't be in most LSU stacks.

Also consider: Clemson, Iowa, Kansas
