DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/9/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Logan Webb - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Starting Pitchers, Draft Sleepers

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on September 9, 2023. Josh's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Saturday, RotoBallers! We had yet another exciting Friday slate, and Saturday should be more of the same, albeit in a smaller sample.

This article contains my picks for the five-game main slate on Saturday, September 9, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 7:05 PM ET.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Logan Webb, SF vs. COL ($9,500 DK, $9,800 FD)

The San Francisco Giants starting pitcher is something of a control freak. In 187 innings this season, Webb ranks in the 98th percentile in walk rate. Webb does not like issuing free passes. The Giants righty also ranks in the 98th percentile for ground ball rate. Over the past month, the Colorado Rockies have the ninth-lowest OPS and second-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. Webb should be able to navigate this Rockies lineup with ease.

Cristian Javier, HOU vs. SD ($8,000 DK, $8,800 FD)

Houston Astros starting pitcher Cristian Javier has given up multiple earned runs in 12 straight starts, but he is due for some positive regression against the San Diego Padres. Over the past month, the San Diego Padres have the third-fewest OPS and fifth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. Javier should be able to handle the Padres lineup on Saturday.

Others to consider: Lucas Giolito ($8,300 DK, $8,500 FD) at LAA

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jose Altuve - 2B, HOU vs. SD ($6,300 DK, $4,200 FD)

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has once again been one of the best hitters in baseball following his activation from the injured list. In the last 30 days, Altuve is slashing .315/.401/.551 with the ninth-highest OPS among qualified hitters in that span. Altuve should be one of the most exciting plays of the day in daily fantasy lineups.

Manny Machado - 3B, SD at HOU ($5,200 DK, $3,500 FD)

San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado faces Houston Astros starter Cristian Javier. In his career against Javier, Machado is gone 1-for-3 (.333). One hit does not mean Machado shouldn't rake against Javier because the one hit Machado earned was a home run with his family attendance. Machado is one of the elite third basemen and should put on a show on Saturday against Javier.

Elehuris Montero - 3B/1B, COL at SF ($2,800 DK, $2,500 FD)

Colorado Rockies corner infielder Elehuris Montero has quietly been productive in his major league-level opportunities. Among hitters with at least 65 plate appearances in the last month, Montero has the 27th-best OPS and is batting well over .300 in that span. Montero is facing San Francisco Giants righty Logan Webb. Montero is batting over 30 points higher against righties than he is against lefties. The 25-year-old infielder is an excellent value on Saturday.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronald Acuna Jr. - OF, ATL vs. PIT ($6,900 DK, $4,900 FD)

No matter what the price is, Ronald Acuna Jr. is always worth it. After a two-home run game to close out the series against the St. Louis Cardinals, Acuna Jr. followed up with a home run in the first game of the series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Braves outfielder is among the favorites to win NL MVP this season, and his daily contributions show why.

Charlie Blackmon - OF, COL at SF ($4,200 DK, $3,000 FD)

Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon has returned from the injured list and is showing flashes of the player he once was. Blackmon faces San Francisco Giants starter Logan Webb on Saturday. In his career against Webb, Blackmon has gone 11-for-27 (.407) with a home run and seven RBI. His Rockies teammates may struggle, but Blackmon should find success like he has in the past.

Robbie Grossman - OF, TEX vs. OAK ($3,000 DK, $2,500 FD)

Texas Rangers outfielder Robbie Grossman faces Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Kyle Muller. Muller is a lefty who owns a 7.62 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 67 1/3 innings. Grossman is a much better hitter against left-handed pitching, and he is slashing .313/.403/.505 with three home runs and 18 RBI. In the past month, Grossman owns a 1.068 OPS against left-handed pitching. The Rangers outfielder should be able to perform in this platoon role.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Atlanta Braves vs. Johan Oviedo

Headlined by outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr., the Atlanta Braves are one of the best baseball teams and should display their talent on Saturday. Since August 9, the Braves have led the league in OPS, wOBA, and wRC+. Pittsburgh Steelers starting pitcher Johan Oviedo had a decent start to the season but has fallen off immensely in the second half. The Braves should feast in people's lineups.

Favorite pieces: Marcell Ozuna, Ronald Acuna Jr., Eddie Rosario
