DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/25/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Josh Naylor

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on July 25, 2023. Casey Wilson's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's another big Tuesday slate today, Rotoballers, and we have lots of great matchups to sift through. Nat's vs. Austin Gomber, Texans vs. Cody Bradford, and Padres vs. Rich Hill, among others. Arms I'll be targeting today are Blake Snell vs. Pittsburgh, Pablo Lopez vs. Seattle, Andrew Abbott vs. Milwaukee, and Corbin Burnes vs. Cincinnati.

I will cover the 12-game slate starting at 7:05 pm in this article. There are several big bats I'll be looking at, as well as solid teams to stack, some obvious, some a bit sneaky. Aside from the teams noted above, I'll also be looking at Houston, San Francisco, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/25/2023 and the slate locking at 7:05 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks! DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Blake Snell, SDP vs. PIT ($10,000 DK, $11,000 FD)

Left-hander Snell is facing a Pittsburgh Pirates team with a 25.6% strikeout rate and an 85 wRC+ for the last 30 days. Versus left-handed pitchers, they are slashing .255/.329/.391, and for the season, versus left and right-handed pitchers, they are ranked 26 in home runs and 25 in RBI. For the season, Snell has a 31.6% K rate, a 2.67 ERA, and 3.53 xFIP.

Pittsburgh Pirates Offensive Rankings for 2023

Pittsburgh's 8-4 win over the Padres on Monday will lead to higher ownership for the Pirates, with casual DFS players assuming they will see this again versus Snell. Trust me when I say they will not, and Snell will rack up another win for him and the Padres.

Aaron Civale, CLE vs KC ($7,200 DK, $9,300 FD)

Civale has just a 19.28 strikeout rate, but Kansas City has a 24.35% rate versus right-handed pitchers this season. The Royals have a wRC+ of 84 for the season, but it's an even lower 77 versus righties. Kansas City is last in the AL Central, losing three of their previous four games. In the last 30 days, they are slashing .225/.273/.358 with a 24.7% strikeout rate. Civale is a solid tournament play versus Kansas City at home tonight.

Also consider: Alex Cobb, Tyler Glasnow, Aaron Abbott

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Freddie Freeman - 1B, LAD vs. Chris Bassitt ($6,400 DK, $4,500 FD)

Lefty Freeman will be facing right-hander Bassitt tonight in Los Angeles. In his last five games, Freeman is slashing .450/.542/.950; at home, he is batting .319/.386/.530. The Dodgers have 128 wRC+ for the season, 132 for the last 30 days. They have a .184 ISO for the year and .227 for the last 30 days. I see Bassitt doing little to stop the Dodgers tonight, and certainly not one of my favorite lefties, Freddie Freeman.

Patrick Bailey - C, SF vs. Ken Waldichuk ($3,700 DK, $2,700 FD)

San Francisco's 67 wRC+ is one of the lowest in the league, but versus lefties, that number jumps up to 93. In 27 games versus left-handed pitchers this year, switch-hitting Bailey is batting .327/.352/.538 with three home runs and ten RBI. Waldichuk is 2-6 for the season with a 6.75 ERA and 5.44 xFIP. Versus right-handed batters, he is allowing a .308/.401/.515 slash line with 12 home runs and 46 RBI. Bailey and the Giants have an excellent opportunity to win tonight at home versus Waldichuk and the A's.

Josh Naylor, 1B, CLE vs. Zack Greinke ($4,000 DK, $3,500 FD)

The Guardians are facing right-handed Greinke in Cleveland tonight. Greinke has a 16% K rate and will be up against a Guardians team with a 15.6% rate, 18.4% versus righties. Lefty Naylor is slashing .306/.344/.508 this season, with 15 home runs and 76 RBI. Versus right-handed pitchers, he is batting .318/.359/.527 with 11 home runs and 62 RBI. Naylor will be a vital part of my Cleveland stack tonight versus Greinke in Cleveland.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Christopher Morel - OF, CHC vs. Michael Kopech ($4,900 DK, $3,600 FD)

The Cubs have a projected 4.92 total for tonight's game versus Kopech and their neighbors from the South Side, the White Sox. Right-handed Kopech has a 4.29 ERA but a 5.22 xFIP. Lefty Morel is slashing .268/.329/.532 versus righties with 12 home runs and 33 RBI. Kopech is 4-8 for the season, going 1-3 in his last five games. Morel and the Cubs 133 wRC+ should have no problem going up against Kopech and the White Sox tonight in Chicago.

Leody Taveras, OF, TEX vs. J.P. France ($3,000 DK, $3,100 FD)

Right-handed pitcher France is facing a Texas team tonight with a 125 wRC+ for the season, 126 for the last 30 days, and 119 versus right-handers. Versus righties, Taveras is slashing .291/.331/.483 with nine home runs and 34 RBI. France has a 3.13 ERA but a 4.55 xFIP and a 17.1% K rate for the season. Taveras is a solid value on DraftKings and will be a part of my Texas stacks tonight versus Houston.

Luis Robert Jr. - OF, CHW vs. Kyle Hendricks ($6,200 DK, $3,800 FD)

Robert and the White Sox are facing righty Kyle Hendricks, who has a 16.1% strikeout rate for the season. At home, Robert is batting .268/.324/.598, and in eight games versus the AL Central, he is .500/.543/1.033 with four home runs and 13 RBI. Versus righties, Robert's slash line is in line with his stats for the season at .252/.300/.537. The White Sox are projected for 4.8 runs tonight versus Hendricks, and with the help of Robert, they should get that many and more tonight in Chicago.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Washington Nationals vs. Austin Gomber

First things first, keep an eye on the weather in Washington tonight. The DC area is expecting thunderstorms, but they could miss or clear out later in the evening, allowing for a delayed start or slight delay.

Washington is at home facing Gomber and the Rockies tonight. Gomber has a 6.18 ERA, 4.88 xFIP, and a 15.1% K rate. Versus lefties, the Nat's have a 108 wRC+ and a 19% K rate. Five of the National's top bats versus lefties have an over .800 OPS. Versus the NL East, Gomber has a 6.33 ERA, and in his last outing versus Washington, he lasted 4.2 innings and left with a 9.64 ERA. The Nat's should roll at home versus Gomber and the Rockies tonight and are my favorite stack of the slate.
