DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/15/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Spencer Strider - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on July 15, 2023. Josh Costello's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Spencer Strider, ATL vs. CWS ($12,800 DK, $11,600 FD)

Spencer Strider has been the most dominant starting pitcher in baseball this season. He is the leader among qualified pitchers in K/9, K%, xFIP, and SIERA. Strider came into the All-Star Break on a good run and should continue to build on his impressive streak on Saturday. The Chicago White Sox have been one of the worst teams against right-handed pitching this season, owning the seventh-worst batting average and fourth-worst OPS. With four straight starts of nine or more strikeouts, Strider should own this matchup.

Alex Cobb, SFG vs. PIT ($8,000 DK, $9,100 FD)

Alex Cobb has been the Giants' best pitcher this season, owning a 2.91 ERA, 3.22 xFIP, and 86 strikeouts in 89 2/3 innings. On Saturday, Cobb faces the Pittsburgh Pirates, who are below average against right-handed pitching. The Pirates have the third-fewest home runs and fifth-lowest OPS against righties. Cobb can carve through this Pittsburgh lineup, and I expect him to do just that.

Also consider: Andrew Abbott

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Manny Machado – 3B, SDP at Ranger Suarez ($5,200 DK, $3,500 FD)

The San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado came into the All-Star Break on an absolute heater, collecting hits in five of his last six games. During that stretch, Machado racked up five multi-hit games and four home runs. In the first game back last night, Machado launched yet another home run. This season, the veteran third baseman is batting .338 against left-handed pitching. Machado should continue his hot streak on Saturday.

Salvador Perez – C, KC vs Cooper Criswell ($4,400 DK, $2,800 FD)

Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez has been one of the only bright spots in one of the worst lineups in baseball this season. The veteran slugger faces the 26-year-old right-hander Cooper Criswell, who has a decent minor league track record but owns a 5.14 ERA in 21 innings. This season, the 33-year-old catcher is batting 60 points higher against right-handed pitching than left-handed. Perez has a .262 batting average with 14 of his 15 home runs against right-handed pitchers.

Carlos Correa – SS, MIN at Hogan Harris ($4,000 DK, $2,800 FD)

Carlos Correa has had a disappointing season so far but was showing signs of turning it around going into the break. Correa collected hits in nine of his last 11 games. The 28-year-old shortstop is facing Hogan Harris of the Oakland Athletics. Harris owns a 6.07 ERA and 5.38 xFIP in 43 innings this season. Correa has also displayed better production against left-handed pitching this season, earning a batting average nearly 25 points higher than his batting average against right-handed pitchers.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronald Acuna Jr. – OF, ATL vs. Lance Lynn ($6,600 DK, $4,700 FD)

Acuna Jr could make this list every day that the Atlanta Braves play baseball. The 25-year-old outfielder is a generational talent and continues to produce at an incredible level. Acuna Jr faces Lance Lynn on Saturday, and Lynn has struggled to begin the year. The veteran White Sox pitcher is still trying to find his rhythm this season, and it could seemingly happen at any time, but the Braves are a tough test. Lynn could struggle in this matchup.

J.D. Martinez – OF/DH, LAD at Kodai Senga ($5,200 DK, $3,800 FD)

Los Angeles Dodgers J.D. Martinez is having a resurgent season in the power department this year. After a down year in 2022, collecting 16 home runs in 139 games, Martinez is already up to 22 home runs in 73 games. The veteran slugger knows how to hit, and he's been hitting right-handed pitching well this season. Martinez has a .266 batting average and 19 of his 22 home runs against right-handed pitchers. Senga may rack up strikeouts, but he is not immune to giving up runs.

Nick Castellanos – OF, PHI vs. Ryan Weathers ($4,300 DK, $3,600 FD)

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos is also amid a bounce-back season. In 2022, the veteran outfielder batted .263 with 13 home runs in 136 games. Castellanos is batting .301 this season with 13 home runs through 87 games. On Saturday, the slugger faces left-hander Ryan Weathers on the San Diego Padres. Castellanos owns a .337 batting average against left-handed pitching in 2023, with three home runs and eight doubles. Castellanos should continue to produce.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cole Ragans

The Tampa Bay Rays have been one of the most dominant teams in baseball through the first half of the season. The Rays have raked against left-handed pitching this year, owning the fifth-highest team batting average and fourth-highest OPS. The Royals recently acquired Cole Ragans from the Texas Rangers, but he has yet to become a difference-maker. Ragans owns a 5.92 ERA in 24 1/3 innings in 2023. The Rays should feast in this matchup and could chase Ragans from this game early.

Also Consider: Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants
