DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/1/23): MLB DFS Lineups

Luis Robert Fantasy Baseball Injury Update

The top early-slate daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on July 1, 2023. Josh's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Hey, RotoBallers! It's time to break down Saturday's seven-game main slate. As usual, we'll start with the pitchers, go to infielders and outfielders, and then stacks. This should be another really fun slate of action, let's get to it!

This article contains my picks for the main slates on July 1, 2023, for DraftKings and FanDuel slates, which lock at 4:05 ET.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Dylan Cease, CWS vs. OAK ($8,000 DK, $10,300 FD)

After an up-and-down start to the season, Cease has been on a hot streak for the past month. The 27-year-old has given up two or fewer earned runs in five straight starts. Cease has also reached double-digit strikeouts in two of his last three starts, totaling 29 strikeouts in his previous 17 1/3 innings.

Cease seems to have finally found the grip on his slider, and the Oakland Athletics are the worst team in baseball, so he should dominate.

Kyle Bradish, BAL vs. MIN ($5,800 DK, $7,800 FD)

Like Cease, Bradish has also been on a roll lately. Dating back to April 30, Bradish has allowed three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his last 11 starts. On Saturday, Bradish will face off against the Twins, one of the worst teams against right-handed pitching. The Twins just ran right-hander Dean Kremer out of the game, but Kremer is a worse player than Bradish.

The Minnesota Twins have by far the most strikeouts in the league against right-handed pitchers, and Bradish's respectable ERA of 3.75 will make life difficult for the Twins.

Others to consider: Eury Perez ($8,500 DK, $10,100 FD) vs. ATL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Francisco Lindor - SS, NYM vs. SFG ($4,700 DK, $3,400 FD)

Francisco Lindor has yet to play to his potential this season, but he does appear to be heating up. In the last seven days, Lindor is batting .296 with three RBI and four runs scored. The veteran shortstop will have the opportunity to extend his hot streak with a matchup against Anthony DeSclafani. In 18 at-bats against Declafani, Lindor is batting .444 with three home runs and three RBI. Lindor should be able to make a difference.

Jose Abreu - 1B, HOU at TEX ($3,200 DK, $2,900 FD)

Abreu's season-long stats only tell part of the story of how he's been producing. Through 77 games in 2023, the veteran first baseman is slashing .236/.287/.341 with six home runs and 41 RBI, but most of that production has come lately. Abreu is on a seven-game hit streak with two home runs and eight RBI. The slugger faces Nathan Eovaldi on Saturday. In his career against Eovaldi, Abreu is batting .250 with a home run and three RBI. I expect the hot streak to continue.

Jake Burger - 3B, CWS at OAK ($4,000 DK, $3,100 FD)

Jake Burger is one of the most exciting players in baseball because of the raw possesses. Facing off against the right-handed Kyle Muller is an opportunity to showcase his skills. Muller currently owns an 8.04 ERA with a 6.32 K/9 and 4.40 BB/9. Burger has 12 of his 17 home runs against right-handed pitchers this season. It would not surprise me if Burger left the yard.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Tucker - OF, HOU at TEX ($5,200 DK, $3,500 FD)

Kyle Tucker owns one of the reddest Baseball Savant pages out there, among the league's top in xBA, xSLG, xwOBA, and K%. On Saturday, Tucker faces off against Texas Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi. In his career against Eovaldi, Tucker is batting .333 with a home run and two RBI. The outfielder is currently on a seven-game hit streak and could remain hot on Saturday.

Luis Robert Jr. - OF, CWS at OAK ($4,600 DK, $3,900 FD)

Luis Robert Jr. has been a top outfielder in the league this season. The outfielder is slashing .270/.329/.570 with 24 home runs, 20 doubles, and 46 RBI. The 25-year-old has also stolen six bases this season, so there could be an opportunity to steal more tomorrow. Facing one of the worst statistical pitchers in baseball, Robert Jr. should feast in this matchup.

Tommy Pham - OF, NYM vs. SFG ($3,200 DK, $2,900 FD)

2023 appears to be the year Tommy Pham's resurgence takes place. Pham is batting .284 with nine home runs, nine stolen bases, and 32 RBI in 6a games. The Mets are facing Giants starter DeSclafani, with whom Pham has some familiarity. In 11 at-bats against DeSclafani, Pham is batting .364 with three RBI. Pham is also hot, batting .444 with two home runs in the last seven days. Pham should continue his career resurgence on Saturday.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Chicago White Sox vs. Kyle Muller

Muller has an ERA of 8.04 with a 5.25 xFIP and a 5.37 SIERA. Any way you look at it, it could be better. Muller is also at the bottom of the league regarding Average Exit Velocity, HardHit%, xERA, xBA, xSLG, Barrel%, and K%. The Chicago White Sox have been largely underwhelming this season, but this matchup seems like an opportunity for the bats to break out in a big way.

Also consider: New York Mets vs. Anthony DeSclafani

Nearly every member of the New York Mets has experienced facing Anthony DeSclafani, and almost every member has found success against him. Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso have hit home runs against DeSclafani, which could happen again on Saturday. You can start your Mets hitters in this matchup.
