DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (10/19/18): NBA DFS Lineups

Karl-Anthony Towns - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on October 19, 2018. Dennis Clausen's NBA DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Plenty of games on Tap for your first Friday night of the season. Tons of injuries as usual, but many options who are priced very generously. Take your time, wait to set your lineups until right before tip as one mistake will knock you right out of it for the serious cash. Remember, the only difference between you and a shark are the amount of lineups played, but the good news is that everyone can win in DFS if you hit it right. Play tough, take chances and it will pay off eventually.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/19/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks and our Premium DFS Cheat Sheet. And don't forget to check out our brand new NBA DFS Matchup Ratings tool with daily player projections. Give me a follow on Twitter and let me know how I did @Den_Clausen. Good luck.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Kyrie Irving - PG, @ TOR ($6,600)

If you saw my FanDuel DFS article from a few days ago, you would have read that I was very high on Kyrie Irving, especially considering his $7,600 price tag. After playing only 29 minutes against the Sixers and posting an underwhelming 21.5 fantasy points, most people will be afraid and opt to steer clear of him on Friday night. However, with such a drastic price decrease, this is the perfect time to give him a second look as the chances of him having two duds in a row is just not going to happen. Look for Kyrie to bounce back just fine and recover from the horrendous 1-for-8 three-point shooting performance that we saw on Tuesday night. For only $6,600, you really can't go wrong putting him in your DFS roster.

Trae Young - PG, @ MEM ($5,600)

Just like Kyrie Irving, Trae Young wasn't too impressive in the season opener. However, Young was still a little better than the former, finishing the night with 14 points, six boards, and five assists. The minutes are there and if he can get his shot to fall, he will be in store for a nice night against the Grizz.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Tim Hardaway Jr. - SG/SF, @BKN

It is obvious who is wearing the pants while Kristaps Porzingis works his way back. Hardaway took 22 shots against the Hawks a few nights ago with that trend likely continuing moving forward. The Nets and Knicks will likely play fast and put up a ton of shots, so expect him to get plenty of looks and minutes as he is the most reliable guy offensively on the roster, as sad as that sounds.

Marcus Morris - SF/PF, @TOR ($4,400)

This dude has been an animal, and for only $4,400, I'm gonna have him in all of my lineups. Morris looked fantastic against the Sixers, scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 boards in only 21 minutes off of the bench. He will fizzle out eventually, and who knows, it may be against Toronto, but at that price, I'll take my chances.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs CLE ($9,100)

KAT has had it rough over the past month. Between not playing so hot during the preseason or on opening night, and with all of the garbage with Jimmy Butler, Towns has had enough, even though he won't publicly say it. After scoring only eight points and fouling out against the Spurs, he should be just fine and poised to bounce back against the Cavs. Enjoy his bargain price because it won't be this low very long.
