DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 2/2/16

The only reason anyone in the tri-state area would know it is winter time is because the NBA is dominating sports highlight reels, what with the 50 degree weather and all. It’s strange to see people in tee shirts in February. Hopefully that hot weather translates on to the court, specifically for the following players.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 2/2/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays. Be sure to check out my podcast every Monday and Thursday right here at Rotoballer for all your DFS needs.

Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to it!

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Kyle Lowry (at PHX, $8,700)

Yesterday I was all on board with Lowry, and it bit me in the bud. Today, I am still on board with Lowry but with much more enthusiasm and trust. The Suns are just an atrocious team with all sorts of problems off the court. On the court, their problems start at the perimeter. Archie Goodwin, who has shown some flashes of being a suitable ball player, owns a 110 DRating and usually gets flustered when opposing point guards really take it to him. Look for a nice bounce back from Lowry.

Ricky Rubio (at LAL, $6,500)

Ahhhh, there’s nothing quite like picking on the Lakers. And pick we will. From a purely mathematical standpoint, the Lakers give up the most points DraftKings points and second most assists per game to opposing point guards. From a purely showman standpoint, Rubio has the ability to dazzle the LA crowd with behind the back passes, igniting his desire to actually score real life baskets, a feat he rarely accomplishes.

Zach LaVine (at LAL, $5,300)

Don’t forget that LaVine is considered a point guard on DraftKings. There is a push from some of the Minnesota faithful to plug LaVine into the starting five, but we here at Rotoballer are keeping our fingers crossed that he continues to come off the bench. Over his last four, LaVine is averaging 14.5 shots per game, and his type of run-and-gun style is hard for the Lakers to defend. Heck, any type of offense is hard for the Lakers to defend.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Dwyane Wade (at HOU, $7,300)

We are also hoping that Wade draws the Beard and not Patrick Beverley, who has showed tremendous defensive ability this season. The Beard, however, well he’s shown some regression to say the least. Wade has been a consistent offensive force, so it’s surprising to see his price drop $500 from his last game. The Rockets have given up the second most fantasy points to opposing two guards on the season, and with other big name Heat players showing a lack of consistency on the road (cough, cough- Chris Bosh- cough), look for Wade to really step up his game Tuesday night.

Devin Booker (vs TOR, $5,600)

Obligatory Devin Booker post here. Surrounded with a bunch of injuries and other players that might not make rosters, Booker has been the one somewhat reliable offensive force for the Suns. Over his last seven, Booker is averaging 19.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. He is also fouling a ton, which is a minor cause for concern, but that hasn't affected his playing time, as he is seeing court time in the high 30 minutes.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Trevor Ariza (vs MIA, $5,900)

At this point last season, Ariza was a $6.800 player who was (barely) returning value on a consistent basis. This season, he is a $5,900 player who is currently in the middle of a silly hot streak and paying great returns for his owners. Ariza has gone 26-for-51 from behind the arc over his last six games while maintaining a healthy dose of 14 steals during that span. Until he shows any glimpse of slowing down, Ariza is on autoplay.

Justise Winslow (at HOU, $4,400)

It seems like ever since Winslow was getting emoji-bombed by Coach K on an ESPN commercial, the rookie out of Duke has been lighting it up off the bench in a sixth man role. It also happens to be about the time that Hassan Whiteside began to miss serious time with his oblique injury, which probably has more to do with Winslow’s production more than any commercial. Winslow has been consistently playing 33-35 minutes while adding a little bit of production across all categories. He remains a great points-per-dollar option at the swing.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Chris Bosh (at HOU, $7,700)

Be careful here. Bosh is statistically the most consistent option on the board with the best matchup, but he is a different player on the road than at home. He is averaging nearly a point and rebounds less per game on the road than his actually splits. I realize I am probably nitpicking with those numbers, but at the very least you can lower his floor and baseline projections for the night.

Julius Randle (vs MIN, $6,400)

Head coach Byron Scott has indicated that Larry Nance will be held out until after the All-Star Break, which means that Randle is the man for at least a few more weeks. That is good news for his owners, as the guy has shown that he is a legit double-double threat each and every day he puts on the uniform. Tuesday should be no different against whoever the Timberwolves are putting out to try and stop him.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns (at LAL, $7,800)

Here comes the big cat! Dude has been an absolute monster over the last two weeks and there is little to no chance that the Lakers and their 30th-ranked defense against the center position will slow him down. Big KAT is going to show Roy Hibbert just what Kevin Durant said nearly 10 days ago. Towns is a future hall of famer.
