DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (10/8/21)

rachaad white fantasy football rookies rankings NFL draft sleepers running backs

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for 10/8/21. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

We have three college football games coming our way on Friday night before another Saturday that promises to be full of delightful chaos. Hey, don't laugh! We have a top-ten team in action and the team that knocked off number three Oregon last week. There's some marquee teams in action!

We start off with Charlotte heading down to Miami. Not to take on the Hurricanes. They get FIU instead. Temple, fresh off an unlikely victory over Memphis, takes the show on the road to Cincinnati. We finish off with Stanford heading over to Tempe to see if they can take another that many don't expect them to win. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/8/21 locking at 7 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Chris Reynolds, Charlotte ($7,500)

FIU has allowed 314.4 passing yards per game so far this year. Both Texas Tech and FAU went over 400 passing yards on them. Charlotte wont be one of the teams that does that, but Reynolds went over 300 against both Duke and Middle Tennessee State. This is a game where Charlotte should need to throw to keep up in the game again, so I expect a strong game out of Reynolds, especially when you consider the savings over Ridder.

Tanner McKee, Stanford ($6,300)

McKee isn't putting up eye-popping stats, but he has at least 22 DraftKings points in every game that he has started. McKee has accounted for an impressive 13 touchdowns. More impressive than that, he has not turned the ball over yet. He is showing poise beyond his years and the more David Shaw trusts him, the more this offense moves the ball. This will be McKee's toughest road test by a long ways, but as long as he takes care of the ball, he'll make enough plays to pay off this price.

Also consider: Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati ($9,000); Max Bortenschlager, Florida International ($6,300);

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Rachaad White, Arizona State ($8,200)

It's a crowded backfield in Tempe, but White is a player worth using. He has at least 25 DraftKings points in every game against a FBS opponent this year. That includes UCLA and BYU. Only BYU was able to hold White to only one touchdown. He has scored at least two in every other game. The Stanford defense has proven to be a solid unit, especially now that the offense is helping them out. However, White has a bunch of free points through receptions as well. He has caught 22 passes in four games against FBS teams. He has a high floor even if the matchup with Stanford lowers the ceiling a bit.

 D'vonte Price, Florida International ($6,500)

Price has struggled running the ball the last couple of games, but Charlotte should provide a much-needed reprieve. The 49ers are allowing a staggering 251.6 rushing yards per game this season, even though they have only ceded seven rushing touchdowns. Price has scored at least one touchdown in every game, which is what is keeping his fantasy stats above water. He could be in for a monster here against a Charlotte defense that is oozing rushing yards.

Calvin Camp, Charlotte ($4,200)

Camp hit triple digits against Middle Tennessee State in week 4, despite still splitting carries with Iowa transfer Shadrick Byrd. However, FIU has allowed 188.4 rushing yards per game and nine rushing touchdowns on the season. There's plenty to go around for both Camp and Byrd here, but I choose Camp for the rushing upside. Byrd is in more on passing downs and Charlotte should be able to run the ball quite well here.

Also consider: Jerome Ford, Cincinnati ($7,800); DeaMonte Trayanum, Arizona State ($5,500); Austin Jones, Stanford ($3,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Tyrese Chambers, Florida International ($6,700)

Maryland transfer Max Bortenschlager hasn't been all that consistent, but Chambers still has at least 67 receiving yards in every game and Texas Tech was the only team to keep him out of the end zone. Chambers is a big play waiting to happen. That makes him a bit of a risk for fantasy purposes, but he is capable of huge games. He had six catches for 175 yards just two weeks ago against Central Michigan. His ceiling is the highest amongst the receivers on this slate.

Grant DuBose, Charlotte ($6,000)

DuBose was one of the few bright spots for Charlotte against Illinois last weekend. Once again, he led the 49ers in receiving even though it was Victor Tucker that got the touchdown. I like both of them here against FIU. I lean more towards DuBose because he is targeted more than Tucker and has the higher floor. Still, Tucker's ten receptions over the last two games is close to what DuBose has. The 49ers should pass enough to make both worth using.

Elijah Higgins, Stanford ($5,400)

If you watched the injury to Brycen Tremaine, you know that Stanford will need another receiver to step up. It was Higgins against Oregon, who ended up with six receptions on nine targets. Higgins has scored in consecutive games now and will likely be McKee's favorite target in this one as well. Most of Tremaine's targets should head the way of Higgins since he had already proven to be a nice option with Tremaine. His ceiling is even higher now.

Jose Barbon, Temple ($4,500)

The Owls are going to have to throw in this one, but it doesn't mean that they'll have success doing it. With defenses keying in on Jaden Blue and Blue battling a nagging injury, Barbon has come up big in the last two games with 15 receptions for 181 yards and a touchdown. He doesn't have a high ceiling against a team like Cincinnati, but he has a nice floor for the price.

Also consider: Alec Pierce, Cincinnati ($7,000); Ricky Pearsall, Arizona State ($6,200); Bryce Singleton, Florida International ($5,100); LV Bunkley-Shelton, Arizona State ($3,700)
