DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/12/22): NBA DFS Lineups

luka doncic NBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball advice

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on December 12, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We're set for a solid seven-game slate Monday night, one that many might consider an ideal size for the purposes of building tournament lineups in particular. The player pool is certainly large enough to differentiate in certain spots, and there are encouragingly six games with projected totals of at least 226 points as of early Monday.

There are some very good options in favorable matchups across each price point on the salary cap at each position, setting up what should be a fun night of lineup construction for both cash games and tournaments.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/12/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET tonight. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic - PG, DAL vs. OKC ($12,700 DK; $12,000 FD)

Doncic is listed as probable for Monday's game with a quadriceps injury, and he comes in having scored at least 50 fantasy points on either site in each of his last six games. The star guard also put up 71 DK/65.2 FD points against the Thunder in one prior meeting this season, and he's shot a stellar 52.8 percent across 13 home games on his way to an average of 65.3 DK/62.7 FD points there. Doncic is also doing his best work of the season from deep in recent games, draining 42.3 percent of his attempts from behind the arc in his last five contests.

Tyler Herro - PG/SG, MIA at IND ($8,000 DK; $7,700 FD)

Herro is fully expected to continue playing through the probable tag he's carrying due to an ankle issue, and he'll check into Monday's matchup versus the defensively vulnerable Pacers averaging a well-rounded 22.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.9 points, and 1.3 steals while shooting 47.1 percent, including 40.0 percent from three-point range.

Herro has scored over 40 DK points in six of the last seven games and more than 40 FD points on five occasions during that span, giving him plenty of upside at his salaries. The Pacers also make for a good matchup, considering they've been especially vulnerable to shooting guards and three-point shooting overall.

Bogdan Bogdanovic - SG/SF, ATL at MEM ($4,800 DK; $5,600 FD)

Bogdanovic has had a couple of rough shooting outings since finally making his delayed season debut on Dec. 2, but he's also offered a tangible glimpse of his upside with a pair of tallies of over 25 DK points. His best game yet was his most recent one, when Bogdanovic went off for 31 actual points in 38 minutes on the way to 42.5 DK/38.9 FD points against the Nets on Friday night. The veteran wing is still carrying extremely modest salaries for his ceiling, making him an intriguing tournament play versus a Grizzlies team that's given up above-average production to shooting guards thus far this season.

ALSO CONSIDER: Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG, CLE at SAS ($8,900 DK; $9,300 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Edwards - SF/SG, MIN at POR ($9,400 DK, $8,900 FD)

Edwards has mostly been thriving during the first few games of Karl-Anthony Towns' absence due to a calf injury, averaging 24.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 4.4 steals while putting up 18.4 shot attempts per contest over the last five games. The third-year wing is now boasting a 29.3 percent usage rate and averaging 45.6 DK/45.3 FD points per 36 minutes with Towns off the floor, and he generated 48.5 DK/46.7 FD points against the Trail Blazers on Saturday night in the first installment of the two-game set with Portland. Edwards carries the upside of a five-figure salary player under his current scenario, making him all that much more appealing at his salaries.

Evan Mobley - PG/C, CLE at SAS ($7,700 DK; $7,300 FD)

Mobley has been running hot since late November, putting up 16.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 blocks across 35.1 minutes in his last eight games. The big man is shooting 59.1 percent over that span as well while eclipsing 40 DK points four times and 40 FD points twice in the sample.

Mobley's salaries are therefore especially eye-catching with that kind of recent production, and he's now set for a matchup with a Spurs team that's been among the most vulnerable in the league to power forwards in offensive efficiency and fantasy production overall.

Luguentz Dort - SF, OKC at DAL ($5,200 DK; $5,600 FD)

Dort can sometimes throw in a clunker, making him more of a tournament play. However, the talented wing's salaries greatly mitigate the risk, and he's flashed some nice upside by putting up 30 fantasy points on both sites in eight games this season.

Dort is also putting up career highs in rebounds (4.5), assists (2.3), and steals (1.1) this season, and he produced 30.5 DK/31.2 FD points in his one prior meeting with the Mavericks this season. Dallas should make for a solid matchup for Dort again, considering the Mavs continue to rank in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency surrendered to small forwards.

ALSO CONSIDER: Kevin Durant - SF/PF, BKN at WAS ($11,000 DK; $10,300 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kristaps Porzingis - WAS vs. BKN ($9,500 DK; $9,200 FD)

Bradley Beal (hamstring) is likely to remain out for Monday's contest, which should bode particularly well for Porzingis in a matchup he already produced 58.3 DK/56.8 FD points in earlier this season. The big man boasts a 30.8 percent usage rate and is averaging 49.7 DK/49.3 FD points per 36 minutes without the star wing on the floor. Porzingis has eclipsed 50 fantasy points on either site on five occasions in his last seven games alone, a sample that includes a pair of tallies over 60 on DK and one on FD; those numbers make his current salaries virtual bargains.

Bam Adebayo - MIA at IND ($8,200 DK; $8,800 FD)

Adebayo has had a couple of sub-30-fantasy-point outings in the last four contests, but the big man still checks in averaging 39.8 DK/38.8 FD points per game. Adebayo has actually been a slightly better shooter on the road -- both from the field (53.8 percent) and the free-throw line (86.7 percent) -- and he also put up 37.5 DK/34 FD points across 34 minutes in his one prior meeting with the Pacers this season. Indiana has struggled to limit center production all season as well, and the combination of the Pacers' upbeat pace and defensive vulnerability down low heighten Adebayo's appeal Monday.

Jarrett Allen - CLE at SAS ($7,000 DK; $6,900 FD)

Allen has scored over 40 fantasy points twice on either site in his first three games back from a back injury, putting up a pair of double-doubles in that span. The big man has already eclipsed 40 fantasy points on each site on seven occasions already this season, which gives him plenty of potential as one of the best fantasy-point-per-dollar plays on the night. That's especially true because of the matchup, considering the Spurs rank dead last in offensive efficiency rating allowed to centers (35.4) and also rank just outside the bottom-five in total rebounds surrendered per home game (54.4).

ALSO CONSIDER: Rudy Gobert, MIN at POR ($7,200 DK; $7,600 FD)
