DeVante Parker is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: To find DeVante Parker available in more than 60% of Yahoo leagues makes no sense to me. I could expect some sort of low rostership because Miami isn't an otherworldly team, and the offense of the Dolphins is quite crowded after this offseason additions to the receiving corps, but even then this borders on fantasy malpractice.

GAIN ACCESSAfter years falling short of expectations, Parker finally hit the WR1 realm two years ago thanks to his WR11 finish to the tune of 15.4 FPPG in PPR leagues. Sadly, he came back a bit in 2020 with an 11.9 FPPG average and a WR40 finish, though it must be said that he missed two games entirely. Parker has now kicked off 2021 with a 12.1-PPR performance in a Week 1 game that saw him rack up the most targets among all Dolphins' skill-position players. His line read 4-of-7 on receptions for 81 yards and no scores.
While Jaylen Waddle was the one lucky to bag a touchdown on his 4 receptions (6 targets), Tua trusted Parker more than anyone on the offense and Parker was good enough to average the highest yards per reception (20.2) of all wideouts in the squad this past weekend, also playing the most offensive snaps (83% of them). Will Fuller V is eligible next weekend after missing W1 suspended, which will see Miami reshuffle the offense. Even then, and even if Parker won't probably have another WR1-season any time soon, he's more than rosterable and playable at the WR3 spot with upside for WR1/WR2 finishes if Tua has a nice outing. Definitely not WW fodder, you'd be good getting shares of DeVante Parker this early in the season.
