Jets wide receiver (WR) Denzel Mims is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: The New York Jets found themselves in a new, strange place this past weekend. They were actually involved in a close game; a game they nearly won before a last-second touchdown pass from Derek Carr to Henry Ruggs III.
Because they weren't chasing points all game long in Week 13, the Jets weren't forced to pass as much as they are accustomed to, leading to rookie receiver Denzel Mims reeling in only two catches for 40 yards on three targets. Mims was second on the team in receiving yards this week, trailing only Jamison Crowder, who had his best game in a while with five catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets. Crowder had only caught a total of six passes in his three previous games.
Mims and Breshad Perriman are the Jets' two primary outside receivers. Perriman out-targeted Mims in this week's game with four targets, but he only caught one of them for 22 yards.
Mims is averaging 17.1 yards per reception this year and he had 23 targets over his three games prior to this week. He should see around seven or eight targets most games going forward and if he can come down with about half of them or better, he's going to have some solid receiving totals with great big play and touchdown potential. He should be added in all leagues of 14 teams or deeper. He's a solid option as a WR3/WR4 or flex in a fantastic Week 14 matchup against the league's worst pass defense, the Seattle Seahawks.
