BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS:
Tennessee Titans star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught just two of his nine targets for 21 yards in the Week 15 loss against the Houston Texans. Despite struggling in the loss, Hopkins has now totaled 59 catches for 919 yards and six touchdowns this season. Hopkins is just 81 yards away from his seventh career 1,000-yard season.
It has been a roller coaster of a season for Hopkins with quarterback Ryan Tannehill being benched for rookie quarterback Will Levis, who has shown sparks of talent in his last eight games for the Titans. Hopkins has seen benefits from the quarterback change as in Weeks 13 and 14, the WR hauled in a total of 12 receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns within that span. Things have cooled off for the wideout after Week 14, but Hopkins will look to get back on track this Sunday.
In Week 16, the Tennessee Titans will face off against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks currently rank ninth in the NFL in most receiving yards allowed and 11th in the NFL in most touchdowns allowed this year through the air. Hopkins has always been a receiver who sees his fair share of workload each and every game, but the question this week is how many of those targets will Hopkins haul in?
The Titans will need to be able to move the ball efficiently on offense when playing against the Seahawks and it starts with their number one receiving option. Fantasy managers can view Hopkins as a WR3 this week with WR2 upside if he is able to see a touchdown.
DeAndre Hopkins is listed as WR24 in our Half-PPR rankings for Week 16.
