Cowboys tight end (TE) Dalton Schultz is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 13 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Anyone in need of tight end help down the stretch has to be intrigued by the usage of Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz over the past month or so. Schultz has earned at least five targets in each of his past four games. He's caught at least four passes in each game over that stretch, giving him a decent floor as a low-end TE1.
Schultz has mostly been utilized in short-yardage routes this year. He's averaging just 9.8 yards per reception. In the Cowboys' most recent game in Week 12 against the Washington Football Team, he averaged just 4.8 yards per reception (five catches, 24 yards).
His upside is certainly limited, but he has a clear and steady role on an offense that is going to need to throw the ball a lot over the final month of the regular season. The Cowboys have a dreadful defense and their running game just hasn't been able to find stability all year. Despite their 3-8 record, the Cowboys are still very much alive in the playoff race due to the weak play across the NFC East.
Add Schultz if you need tight end help in leagues of 12 teams or deeper. In PPR formats, he's worth considering in even more shallow leagues.
