NHL DFS Picks for Saturday, December 5th
Welcome back to another night in the National Hockey League! Tonight we have another eight game slate due to the two early Saturday afternoon games. There is a nice mix of high end goaltenders and value options tonight with some backups filling in for the starters. The following teams are playing on back to nights:
- New York Islanders(On the road and 3rd game in four nights)
- Columbus Blue Jackets(On the road)
- Philadelphia Flyers(Home)
- Boston Bruins(On the road and 3rd game in four nights)
- San Jose Sharks(Home)
Let's now take a look at some core matchups to build some lineups around on Saturday night.
Devan Dubnyk - Goaltender, Wild (DraftKings - $7,700 FanDuel - $8,700)
He is in a good spot at home Saturday as the Wild are -170 favorites vs. the Avalanche. He is coming off a shutout and two straight wins and is a 13-7-2 with a .916 save % for the season. He also has a career record of 11-6 with a .931 save % vs. the Avalanche.
Kyle Turris - Center, Senators (DraftKings - $6,300 FanDuel - $7,300)
The Senators are the leagues 5th ranked offense and 6th best powerplay and have provided a great source for consistent fantasy points. Turris centers the top line and the #1 powerplay and has points in six of his last seven games. If you are stacking in tournament formats pair with Bobby Ryan, Mike Hoffman, Erik Karlsson, or Mark Stone.
Alex Steen - Winger, Blues (DraftKings - $6,600 FanDuel - $7,900)
He has been a consistent option this year averaging 3.6 FanDuel and 3.7 DraftKings points per game. He enters a great matchup at home as the Leafs come into town with the leagues 19th ranked defense.
Jakub Voracek - Winger, Flyers (DraftKings - $5,700 FanDuel - $7,400)
This is strictly a large field tournament play as he should be extremely low owned. Disappointing start to the year with only one goal and 15 points but this pace shouldn't continue much longer. He is a talented player paired with Claude Giroux on a Flyers team that is starting to turn it on, winning four straight games.
Michael Del Zotto - Defense, Flyers (DraftKings - $3,700 FanDuel - $4,200)
If you are paying up for some top scoring talent on Saturday you are going to need two bargain bin defensemen. Del Zotto makes a great choice as he comes in at a very affordable price and has points in four straight games. He has also added 12 shots on goal in that time. Great play in any format tonight.
