Curtis Samuel's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Curtis Samuel for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start In 12-Team PPR Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel is coming off another solid performance last week against the Miami Dolphins, catching four of his five targets for 65 yards. The game before against the Dallas Cowboys, he was targeted 12 times, catching nine of those for 100 yards.
Those two games showcased what Sameul can do if things go right. The problem is that he also has an extremely low floor, as displayed by the two games before that. Against the Giants, he was targeted just twice, catching one pass for five yards. In the game before that, he saw six targets but managed just six receiving yards on two catches.
Samuel can have some good games when the stars align, but he's also always at risk of playing down to his incredibly low floor. That makes it tough to really know how to project Samuel.
This week, the Commanders face the Los Angeles Rams in what should be a relatively tough matchup. Samuel should be viewed as a WR4 play with a decent ceiling and a low floor. Plenty of risk here, but these past two games suggest that he's playing an increased role in the Commanders passing attack.
