Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has taken the NFL and fantasy football by storm since uniting with Matthew Stafford at the start of the 2021 season, so his name popping up on the injury report is obviously a significant development that could have a major fantasy impact.
After suffering an ankle injury in Week 8, is Kupp hurt or healthy, and what would be the fantasy football fallout if he has to miss time?
We'll dive into it all.

Is Cooper Kupp Healthy or Injured?
Kupp tweaked his ankle in the Week 8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but he still posted an eight catch, 79 yards, and one touchdown line and delivered for fantasy managers. The Rams said on Monday that Kupp is dealing with "tissue swelling in his ankle," but he is still expected to play in the Week 9 showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The team felt comfortable making this known early in the week, so barring a setback, we'll take their word for it and pencil in Kupp in Week 9 lineups.
Cooper Kupp Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook
Tampa Bay has been solid against fantasy wideouts, but needless to say, matchups don't affect Kupp's outlook, so fantasy managers can continue to keep him in their WR1 slot. Last season, Kupp posted 18 receptions for 279 yards and three touchdowns in two meetings with Tampa Bay.
However, there might be slightly more risk involved with him if the ankle injury slows him down even a tad, but a 75-percent healthy Kupp is still an elite fantasy option. The Rams' offense has been one of the worst units in the league through eight weeks, but Kupp seems largely unaffected from a fantasy perspective.
If Kupp surprisingly suffers a setback before Sunday and is ruled out, Allen Robinson, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, and Tyler Higbee would all be candidates to see more targets. Again, this is far from likely, but fantasy managers should always be ready to adjust on the fly.
