ANALYSIS: Some scouts questioned whether Carlos Hernandez could be anything more than a middle reliever despite his ability to touch triple digits. Right now, he's doing a pretty good job in the rotation. Since July 29, he's made seven starts with sparkling ratios (1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP), against mostly high quality competition - the White Sox three times alone, all of which resulted in victories for the 24-year-old. He's gone at least six innings in five of those outings, falling one out shy in another.
Hernández gets an easier draw his next time out, with a road game against the lowly Orioles. He's been a popular add over the weekend and that only figures to continue as we get closer to Wednesday.
