Washington wide receiver (WR) Cam Sims is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 16 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Washington Football Team wide receiver Cam Sims saw a season-high eight targets in the team's Week 15 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He reeled in five catches, a sturdy total for PPR leagues, but only managed to gain 26 yards.
With Dwayne Haskins Jr. at quarterback in Week 15, the team aired it out 55 times. Logan Thomas, Terry McLaurin and J.D. McKissic each saw double-digit targets in the game. Sims was fourth on the team in targets. No player after him saw more than two.
Sims is the clear No. 2 receiver for Washington right now. He's averaging 15.5 yards per reception on the year. If he were to see eight targets again in the coming weeks, he'd likely provide a more satisfying return than just 26 receiving yards. He averaged just 5.2 yards per reception this past week.
Unfortunately for Sims, the heavy involvement of Thomas and McKissic lowers his potential. The Washington passing game has a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16. If Alex Smith (calf) is back under center for the team next week, Sims may not have as many opportunities, but if it's Haskins again, Sims is worthy of flex or WR4 consideration in leagues of 14 or more teams, especially in PPR formats.
