Buy Low, Sell High - Fantasy Football Week 7 Trades Advice for Davante Adams, De'Von Achane, Zack Moss, and more

Davante Adams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Joey's fantasy football trade analyzer article for Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season. His buy-low and sell-high fantasy football trade candidates and advice.

We are at the rough part of the fantasy football season. Key players continue to get injured and miss games. Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (ankle) will be out multiple weeks, and Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (ribs) will also miss "some time."

If you have them or other injured players like Justin Jefferson, James Conner, De'Von Achane, or Justin Fields, you will likely need to make trades to boost your roster. Before Week 6, Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb and Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon were a part of my buy-low list.

This week, two more players make the buy-low list, and two others should be sell-high candidates in fantasy football. With six teams on bye in Week 7, you might need to make a couple of moves before Sunday.

Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Targets

WR Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders

We've seen this before. The star wide receiver complains that he isn't utilized on offense and then goes nuclear the next week. Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown did it in Week 2 and caught nine passes for 131 yards the following game. Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja'Marr Chase did it after Week 4 and winded up catching 15 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns in Week 5.

On Thursday, Las Vegas Raiders wideout Davante Adams spoke to reporters and admitted that he is frustrated with his role on offense. Could we see a Brown/Chase 2.0 with Adams this weekend against the Chicago Bears?

Now, it's probably unlikely Adams produces like Chase did with veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer under center. But the All-Pro wideout will definitely see more than five targets on Sunday. Over the past two games combined, he has caught just six passes for 74 yards on nine targets.

Adams is just far too talented to not get chances in Las Vegas' offense. If there ever was a time to grab one of the best wide receivers in football, now is the time to do so. Fantasy managers are frustrated with his recent production, and better days are surely ahead for the veteran.

RB De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins

You should only be making this trade for Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane (knee) if you're in a good position. If you're 6-0, 5-1, or 4-2, now is the time to buy low on the explosive third-round rookie.

Achane was a fantasy superstar before his injury. From Week 2 to Week 5, the 22-year-old running back rushed 37 times for 455 yards and five touchdowns while also catching eight passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns. That helped him finish as a top-five running back in three straight weeks.

Then, Achane went on the injured reserve list with a knee issue. But the Dolphins remain optimistic that he will be back after the team's bye in Week 10. That means the rookie will be active just in time for your playoff push or toward your first-round bye push -- depending on your league settings.

Miami continues to show they can support multiple running backs in this offense, and Achane will be a must-start upon his return in five weeks. If a 2-4 or 1-5 fantasy manager owns the rookie, try to get your hands on him because he really has "league-winner" written all over him.

Fantasy Football Sell-High Trade Targets

RB Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts

It might be hard to sell high on Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss. Everyone knows that Jonathan Taylor is back and will eventually be the team's lead back as the season goes on. But right now, Moss has been a surprise fantasy star even with Taylor in the lineup.

In two games with Taylor, Moss finished as the RB2 in Week 5 and the RB9 in Week 6 in half-PPR formats. The 25-year-old back has three touchdowns over those contests while seeing 38 touches.

Taylor was always going to work his way back up after not practicing all summer. He wasn't going to see a huge workload right away. But it's likely coming over the next couple of weeks. With the way Moss is playing, though, he probably won't be completely axed from the offense.

However, Moss definitely won't keep this up with Taylor seeing more and more of the backfield touches going forward. Now is the perfect time to sell the running back while his value is still high. The Colts also have a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7, so Moss might struggle to put up solid fantasy numbers this weekend.

WR D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore has put up some big numbers in his first season with the team. In Week 4, Moore caught eight passes for 131 yards, and then in Week 5, he secured eight catches for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Those two performances helped him finish as the WR5 and WR1 in PPR formats.

Moore has been a consistent fantasy weapon this season, scoring above 10 PPR fantasy points in five of six games. He also comes into Week 7 as the WR8 in PPR fantasy points. But there's a chance the 26-year-old wideout has already reached his fantasy peak in 2023.

Not only is quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) out this week and possibly longer, but the Bears will have to start undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent in his place. Despite Moore securing four passes for 44 yards from Bagent in the second half, the wideout could struggle to produce much on Sunday and moving forward without Fields.

Moore is a great player, but can he keep up his 20.2 PPR fantasy points per game? That's why I'm willing to sell high on the Bears wideout, especially with Bagent taking over for likely a couple of weeks.
