Read Baker Mayfield's fantasy football outlook for Week 5 of the NFL season. Notes, updates, analysis and advice including predictions for his upcoming matchup.
Mayfield could be in for another rough outing for fantasy managers against the Los Angeles Chargers pass defense that has given up the fifth-fewest passing yards through the first four weeks of the season. Considering how run-heavy the Cleveland offense is, we will likely be seeing a heavy dose of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to take advantage of the Chargers’ fourth-worst run defense that is allowing 5.3 yards per carry.
Mayfield has struggled to find consistency early on as he has thrown just two touchdown passes through the first four games of the season, and has once again struggled to find chemistry with his WR1 Odell Beckham Jr. . The Chargers have allowed just 6.6 yards per pass attempt, which is not exactly ideal for a quarterback who is likely to be short of volume in this one. This, coupled with the fact they have given up just six passing touchdowns in four games makes the Cleveland quarterback an easy fade in one-QB fantasy leagues. In two-QB and super-flex leagues, he can be valued as a low-end QB2 in this game.
The NFL offseason is almost over. Teams are running rookie minicamps, and training camp will be upon us soon enough. We are starting to get a good idea of how depth charts will shape up, which makes it easier to begin making fantasy football predictions. This hobby truly never sleeps. At this point in the […]
With the NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, we can start to project next year's starters. The weaker-than-average running back draft class this season did not move the needle much for some of the incumbent starters. As such, there are several players with a very low risk of losing their jobs. Still, there were a […]
The 2026 NFL Draft is mercifully over after a three-day marathon in which several of the top fantasy talents landed in unenviable positions. It was a frustrating confluence of events, considering that this rookie class was already lighter on top-end fantasy talent than in recent draft classes. With that said, this class does have some […]
Now that the 2026 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror, we have a much better grasp on how the ever-evolving NFL landscape will look for the upcoming season. Incoming rookies saw stocks both rise and fall over the three-day event. Landing spot, competition for reps, and draft capital are the three biggest levers that […]
