DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (12/3/21)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for 12/3/21. His Week 14 Friday CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

We are back down to a smaller slate on Friday, but just like Saturday's activity, we have some marquee teams on here. Conference Championship week can be great for DFS. In theory, most teams are playing a good defense. This is where the truly special players usually rise up. Who will it be tonight? Who's going to win us some money?

We kick off the festivities with Western Kentucky and their high-powered offense in the Alamodome to take on UTSA. I'm looking forward to this one! It almost makes the Oregon-Utah rematch in Sin City seem trivial. Almost.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/3/21 locking at 7 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Bailey Zappe, Western Kentucky ($9,000)

We finally have the Hilltoppers on a DFS slate! Bailey Zappe has thrown for 4,968 yards and 52 touchdowns on the season. Those are not typos. This is a high-powered offense with a quarterback and a couple of receivers that make it truly special. I like the UTSA defense, but they aren't going to be able to completely shut down Zappe. The only team that held him under 30 DraftKings points was Florida International (29.58 points). He racked up 43.12 against the Roadrunners back in Week 6 in Bowling Green. I expect another big game out of Zappe here.

Frank Harris, UTSA ($6,400)

If you think Zappe's numbers against UTSA were good, wait until you get a load of Harris! He put up a season-high 54.36 DraftKings points against The Hilltoppers in the first meeting. Harris threw for six touchdowns and 349 yards in that one. There were 98 combined points from the offenses in that game and it was one of the more exciting games that I've watched this season. The two quarterbacks are a big reason why. I really like the price on Harris regardless of if you run Zappe or not. He's too cheap in this spot.

Also consider: Anthony Brown, Oregon ($7,200); Cameron Rising, Utah ($6,700)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Tavion Thomas, Utah ($7,700)

Thomas put up 27.4 DraftKings points on Oregon in Salt Lake City two weeks ago, but it is worth noting that he scored three touchdowns in that game. Thomas failed to reach 100 rushing yards in that game – the only time he has failed to do so since Week 8. Thomas's floor may not be as high as we like here, but his ceiling can't be ignored. He's going to get a healthy workload once again, but he's likely going to need multiple touchdowns to finish as the highest-scoring running back on the slate. Now the good news: Thomas has 14 rushing touchdowns over the last five games.

Sincere McCormick, UTSA ($6,200)

It was a rough end of the regular season for McCormick. UAB and Southern Miss were both effective against him and North Texas jumped out to a huge lead, forcing the Roadrunners to all but abandon the run. McCormick should get back on track here. He had 120 rushing yards and caught two passes in the first game against the Hilltoppers, giving him 19.2 DraftKings points even though he didn't score a touchdown. I like that kind of floor in this price range.

Byron Cardwell, Oregon ($3,800)

Oregon's run game was neutralized in the first meeting not only because of good defense, but because Utah buried the Ducks early and they had to play from behind. If this game stays closer, as it should, Dye and Cardwell should have better games. Cardwell was Oregon's leading rusher in that game two weeks ago. His carries have picked up as the primary backup to Dye and the freshman has done pretty well with his field time. He's the low-risk pivot off of Dye. Cardwell doesn't have a high ceiling, but he's a decent value getting close to ten touches per game.

Also consider: Travis Dye, Oregon ($7,000); T.J. Pledger, Utah ($5,400); Brenden Brady, UTSA ($3,700); Noah Whittington, Western Kentucky ($3,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Jerreth Sterns, Western Kentucky ($7,300)

So, who leads the country in receptions this year? Josh Downs? Not quite. He's third. How about Western Michigan's Skyy Moore? Nope. He's sixth. It's not even Makai Polk, who plays for pass-happy Mississippi State. He's second and still 29 receptions behind Sterns. With a guy throws as much as Zappe does, there's going to be a ton of points doled out on receptions alone before you even consider the yards and 52 touchdowns that he's thrown. Sterns has double-digit receptions in seven of the 12 games that he's played, including at 16 catch, 195 yard performance (with two touchdowns) against UTSA the first time around. No player on the slate has the ceiling that Sterns does. Not even his quarterback.

Mitchell Tinsley, Western Kentucky ($6,000)

Tinsley also eclipsed the 100-yard mark against the Roadrunners in the first meeting. His 71 receptions for 1,126 yards are great numbers as well so long as you're not comparing him to Sterns. Tinsley's floor isn't as high. He had a true clunker against Old Dominion in Week 7, one game after the UTSA tilt. However, the target share is still high enough that the upside is definitely there for this price. Tinsley has topped the 100-yard mark in four games this year despite the huge numbers of Sterns.

Brant Kuithe, Utah ($4,900)

Kuithe has his only 100-yard game of the campaign against Oregon two weeks ago. He racked up 19.8 DraftKings points despite not finding the end zone. I would expect Kuithe to be the favorite target of Cameron Rising again. He doesn't have the upside of the Western Kentucky guys, but the floor is nice for a value play. Only Stanford has held Kuithe under 10 DraftKings points since Week 4.

Kris Hutson, Oregon ($4,300)

Hutson has 11 receptions for 178 yards and a touchdown over the last two games and he's still this cheap. Hutson was the leading receiver against Utah and should be heavily involved once again. Utah did a good job of limiting Williams, but in doing so, Hutson had room to work. Oregon State did the same thing. I love the upside at this price, especially when others will be playing roulette with the fourth and fifth Western Kentucky options.

Also consider: Devon Williams, Oregon ($6,100); Zakhari Franklin, UTSA ($5,200);  Daewood Davis, Western Kentucky ($4,400); De'Corian Clark, UTSA ($4,200)
