ANALYSIS: Evan Longoria's resurgence has flown somewhat under the radar, thanks to an injury that cost him over two months and the fact that so many of his teammates have had similar renaissances. That's why despite a spike in his rostered rate over the last week, he remains freely available in seven out of 10 Yahoo leagues.
The veteran has strong overall numbers. boasting a .290/.386/.548 line with 13 home runs and 87 R+BI in just 68 games. Over the past two weeks he's a top-40 player in 5x5, hitting .306 with three homers, nine runs, and 15 RBI. The Giants are still fending off the Dodgers for the NL West crown, so there's little danger of the team deciding to rest Longoria down the stretch. Fantasy managers in need of an infield boost would do well to put in a claim.
