Mike Minor Notches Quality Start In Friday's Loss
Mike Minor delivered a solid start against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. He pitched six innings and allowed six hits, one walk and three earned runs while striking out seven. Unfortunately, the Royals were shut out 6-0 in the game, so Minor was tagged with the loss, dropping his record to 8-11 on the year. Minor now has three quality starts over his last five outings, but none of those quality starts have been fantastic. He's allowed at least two runs in each of his last 11 starts. He has a 5.35 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP on the year. He'll make a next start on Thursday against the Houston Astros.
