Brandon Saad signed with the St. Louis Blues on Thursday. He agreed to a five-year deal worth $4.5 million AAV. The one thing the winger could do is score goals. Saad lit the lamp 15 times in just 44 games last season (that's the 27 goal regular-season pace). There was somewhat of a concern with his drop in shots and scoring chances per game. Part of that could be explained by lesser ice time (and power play time). Saad played just over 14 minutes a night as a member of the Colorado Avalanche. That was almost a three-minute drop in ice time. Expect Saad to see opportunities in the top six with St. Louis and in some man-advantage situations as well. If the forward gets back to his normal shot and chance rate, Saad will easily top 20 goals once more. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerRead More News
