49ers running back (RB) Jeff Wilson Jr. is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: San Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. had a breakout fantasy game in Week 3 against the New York Giants. He scored both a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown while compiling a total of 69 yards over 15 touches.
Wilson was a red-zone specialist in limited opportunities for the 49ers last year. He scored four rushing touchdowns over a span of two weeks in September last season. So it wasn't too surprising to see him rushing one in this week. However, his passing game work in Week 3 was something new. He caught all three of his targets for 54 yards in the game. Last year, he suited up for 10 games and only had five targets in the passing game. He caught three of his five targets for 34 yards and a score.
Wilson saw extra opportunities in Week 3 due to the fact that the team was without Raheem Mostert (knee) and Tevin Coleman (knee). The team's primary back in Week 3 was Jerick McKinnon, but McKinnon only had two more touches than Wilson.
Coleman was placed on Injured Reserve and is sure to be out for at least the next two games and probably more. Mostert's return date is a bit more unclear and it's likely to be sooner than Coleman's. Regardless, Wilson is worth a speculative add in all leagues of 12 teams or deeper. If Mostert is sidelined again in Week 4, Wilson will be a solid flex or RB3 option with a good chance to find the end zone once again.
