Jake Odorizzi Will Make Debut Against Royals
Jake Odorizzi (intercostal) is set to make his season debut on Saturday against the Royals. Odorizzi has missed his first two starts of the season with a right intercostal strain after suffering the injury just before Opening Day. The 30-year-old went 15-7 with a 3.51 ERA in 159.2 innings pitched and registered 178 punch-outs. Odorizzi will get about as friendly a matchup as his fantasy owners could hope for on Saturday against Kansas City, who ranks just 24th in the majors with a .648 OPS.
