Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (5/15/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Jorge Pucks' DraftKings. FanDuel DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 5/15/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for ESports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I have to admit, I am having a ton of fun playing and covering eSports DFS at RotoBaller! As always, I will do my best to give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible for your GPP and cash game CSGO contests on Draftkings and FanDuel.

We have a three-game main slate on DraftKings that is a part of the ESL One: Road to Rio qualifier. This has been an awesome tournament so far and has provided us with some great, competitive matches. We have a number of really good teams in action today and some really closely projected matches which should make for an awesome GPP slate.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Friday, May 15th, 2020 at 7:00 AM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @jorgepucks as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

Road to Rio (Best of 3)

  • Spirit (-155) vs. Virtus.Pro (+110)
  • Vitality vs. G2
  • Astralis (-235) vs. FaZe (+165)

CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations

Mir has been playing really well over his last 11 maps. He has accrued a 1.49 K/D ratio and has a .89 kill per round rate while having a .59 death per round rate. Over his 10 career maps that he has played against VP, he has gathered a 1.10 K/D ratio and had a +18 K/D differential. While he is averaging just 46.1 Dk points per game, he has had four straight games go for 50+ with two of those games reaching 80+ DK points. He looks to be a solid tournament play on this slate due to his upside.

Device is the highest-priced player on Astralis at $9,000 on DK as he is averaging 63.9 DK points per game. He has had 15 straight games where he has scored more than 50+ DK points so he serves to be the safest play on the slate in my opinion. He has scored 60+ DK points in eight of his last nine games and has hit the 90 point mark in two of those games. Over the last month, Device has garnered a 1.26 K/D ratio and has a .80 kill per round rate.

Other captain plays: Xyp9x, Zyw0o, kennyS

CS:GO DFS Value Plays

AmaNeK is really affordable at just $5,200 on DK while he is a tad pricey on FD at $10,000. He is a volatile player where he can go off for 70+ points but also run the risk of getting you less than 40 points. Over the last month, AmaNek has had a 1.06 K/D ratio while having a .65 kill per round rate over that stretch. If you are looking for a great salary saver on this slate for your tournament lines, AmaNeK could be one to consider.

Magixx has played extremely well over his last four games as he has gone for 50+ DK points in each of those games. Over his last month, he has had a K/D ratio of 1.05 and has had a .63 kill per round rate while having a .61 death per round rate. He is priced down on DK at $5,800 and with the recent form he has been, he makes to be a great play for both cash game and tournament lineups.

Other value plays: iDISBALANCE,  coldzera

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks

Spirit has won five straight games heading into this matchup against Virtus.Pro and owns the career head-to-head record against VP of 3-2. Spirit has dominated the Group A side of things in the Road to Rio- CIS tournament by going 5-0 while Virtus.Pro has gone 3-2. Spirit has had a +64 round differential which leads the whole CIS tournament while VP has a +25 round differential.

Spirit has carried the highest team rating of 1.22 throughout this event while VP ranks third with a 1.07 team rating. In addition to the team rating, they have also had a team K/D ratio of 1.32 with all five of its members having an above 1.10 K/D ratio over an 11 map span. Mir leads the way with a 1.49 K/D ratio and iDISBALANCE is right behind him with a 1.39 K/D ratio over the same time span. Chopper is a reliable player and could be included in a three-man stack if the pricing allows you to get him in.

G2 looks really priced down on DK which makes them stand out as great value on this slate. Zyw)o leads this Vitality team but we all know if he is off, they are susceptible of losing. Vitality has won four of their last five while G2 has only won two of their last five but the quality of opponents for G2 have been a tad tougher. G2 carries a team K/D ratio of 1.08 while Vitality only has a .98 team K/D ratio so G2 gets the edge going into the matchup.

kennyS leads this team with a 1.16 K/D ratio over the last month and his price on DK is extremely low at $7,400. He could see higher ownership due to his price so nexa is a great pivot and is $400 cheaper. HuNter- is a solid play but he hasn’t played to the best of his abilities and is more of a tournament play if you look his way. AmaNeK carries a 1.06 K/D ratio and is the value guy to consider for a G2 stack.

Other stacks/ teams: Astralis
