FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 8 - Daily Fantasy Football

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Week 8 of the 2019 season, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We are almost through the halfway point of the regular season, and for those who are bombing in season-long formats, there is still plenty of life left in 2019 to get something going on the DFS end of things. Injuries, injuries, and more injuries have opened up the door for some guys who could exceed their respective values. Though guys like Alex Erickson, Ty Johnson, and Kenny Stills are risky, they can make the difference between a winning and losing tournament lineup in Week 8, depending on how well (or bad) they perform. Check ownership projections, don't be too afraid to be a contrarian, and with November right around the corner, weather will start to be more of a factor, especially in cold-weather cities. From a Vegas standpoint, Seattle at Atlanta leads the way with a projected overall score of 54, with the Seahawks giving 3.5 to the Falcons. That game should run close, even if Matt Ryan (ankle) isn't in the picture. Let's get down to business.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks in FanDuel for October 27, 2019 (Week 8). These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Be sure to also consult the NFL Depth Charts and Snap Counts for more critical information this week.

FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks - Week 8 Picks

Russell Wilson - QB, @ ATL ($8,600)

For obvious reasons, Wilson tops the list at quarterback in Week 8. You'll have to set aside some extra cash to get him in your lineup, but based on projections for the Seahawks matchup against the Falcons, it is worth it. With how well Wilson has played compiled with Atlanta giving up an average of 24.64 fantasy points (league-worst) to this position in 2019, it is not unreasonable to believe that he could finish with at least 30 fantasy points in this one. He is a reliable option to build around in both cash and tournament formats on Sunday.

Matthew Stafford - vs. NYG ($7,700)

Stafford plays much more efficiently at home and will look to keep some momentum going against the Giants. Throughout 74 games at Ford Field, the veteran has compiled an average of 280.3 passing yards and nearly two touchdowns per game while maintaining an acceptable 63.2 completion percentage. This game may run closer than anticipated on Sunday, which could lead to Stafford throwing the ball often until the end.

Other FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks to Consider: Deshaun Watson ($8,400), Tom Brady ($7,900), Josh Allen ($7,700), Kyler Murray ($7,400)

FanDuel DFS Running Backs - Week 8 Picks

Saquon Barkley - RB, @ DET ($8,600)

In his first game back from a high ankle sprain, Barkley played 61 snaps against the Cardinals and finished with 72 yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts to go along with a few catches. He was a bit sore after that one, but after practicing in a limited capacity on Wednesday, he participated in full on Thursday, meaning he should be good to go on Sunday against the Lions. At only $8,600, his price likely won't get any lower for the remainder of the season, so take advantage while you can.

Leonard Fournette - RB, vs. NYJ ($7,700)

Fournette has at least 23 attempts in each game over the last four weeks and should do some damage against the Jets in Week 8. While New York has allowed only 471 total rushing yards this season, the eight trips to the end zone by opposing rushers is good for worst in the league.

Other FanDuel DFS Running Backs to Consider: Christian McCaffrey ($9,600), Chris Carson ($8,000), Todd Gurley ($7,400), Derrick Henry ($6,900), Sony Michel ($6,500), Tevin Coleman ($6,200), Latavius Murray ($6,100 - if Alvin Kamara is out), Chase Edmonds ($6,100 - if David Johnson is out), Ty Johnson ($5,200)

FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers - Week 8 Picks

Michael Thomas - WR, vs. ARI ($8,500)

Thomas leads the league in receptions and receiving yards and continues to get an abundance of looks. In Weeks 1 and 2, with Drew Brees under center, he caught 20 of his 26 targets for 212 yards. With Brees potentially back on Sunday, Thomas should continue to get his looks from his favorite quarterback, but even if he isn't, he has done just fine with Teddy Bridgewater as well.

Julian Edelman - WR, vs. CLE ($6,600)

Edelman has practiced sparingly this week with a chest injury. He has dealt with the ailment for weeks and has been able to play through, so he should be good for Sunday's matchup against the Browns. With Josh Gordon on injured reserve and Mohamed Sanu needing some time to get acclimated to the team's complex playbook, Edelman should get a favorable amount of targets in Week 8.

Other FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers to Consider: DeAndre Hopkins ($8,200), Chris Godwin ($8,100), Julio Jones ($7,800), Tyler Lockett ($7,200), Kenny Golladay ($6,700)

FanDuel DFS Tight Ends - Week 8 Picks

Austin Hooper - TE, vs. SEA ($6,600)

Hooper has at least seven targets in four of his last five outings and is a bigger threat with Mohamed Sanu out of the picture. The Seahawks have allowed a fifth-worst 15.06 fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season, so Hooper should be in store for an efficient outing in Week 8.

Benjamin Watson - TE, vs. CLE ($4,900)

This one is a little riskier, but after Watson logged 62 snaps to go along with five targets against the Jets, it is evident that he will have plenty of chances to get something going. With the team battling some injuries on the offensive end, Watson could see an uptick in looks from Tom Brady in Week 8 and has a high ceiling for those embarking in tournament play.

Other FanDuel Tight Ends to Consider: Darren Waller ($6,800), Evan Engram ($6,300)

FanDuel DFS Defenses - Week 8 Picks

Rams Defense - DEF, vs. CIN ($5,000)

Obviously, the Rams are in a good spot in Week 8 as they get to face arguably the worst team in the league. With the team plagued with absences in addition to having one of the worst offensive lines on the planet, things are looking good for Los Angeles on Sunday.

Other FanDuel DFS Defenses to Consider: Patriots Defense ($5,000), Lions Defense ($4,500), Jaguars Defense ($4,500), Bills Defense
