WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (8/13/19): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 8/13/19. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Two games on this Tuesday evening in the WNBA, as the New York Liberty host the Minnesota Lynx, followed by the Atlanta Dream visiting the Las Vegas Aces. With New York and Atlanta both on pretty lengthy losing streaks, tonight's games could end up being fairly lopsided.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/13/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Kelsey Plum (G, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Atlanta Dream (DK: $6,300, FD: $4,400)

Plum's more of a value on FanDuel than on DraftKings, but she's a good upside play on either against a struggling Atlanta team. The Dream allow the third-most threes and fourth-most points per game, and Vegas is still without one of their best scoring options, A'ja Wilson. That leaves more players needing to pick up the slack. Plum did that against Connecticut, scoring 16 points on 6-for-11 shooting while adding four rebounds and two assists. Plum's been getting chances lately, but her shooting woes have led to her not making the most of those opportunities. For her current price, I'm willing to trust the opportunities that she gets.

Seimone Augustus (G, Minnesota Lynx) – @ New York Liberty (DK: $6,000, FD: $5,200)

New York remains the WNBA's worst scoring defense by a pretty good margin. They've also allowed the second-highest three-point field goal percentage this year. For Minnesota, veteran guard Seimone Augustus is finally back, and while she hasn't lit the world on fire in her first three games, she's flashed her skills at times, especially in her first game back, when she had eight points, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals. If there's ever a time for Augustus to return to form, it's against a weakened Liberty defense.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Tina Charles (F, New York Liberty) – vs Minnesota Lynx (DK: $9,600, FD: $7,900)

This isn't the best matchup for Charles, but sometimes we have to go with the hot hand and the heavy workload despite the other factors. Up until recently, Charles was having her worst season in the WNBA and was throwing up inefficient game after inefficient game. But she's got three games in a row now with a field goal percentage of at least 44 percent and two of her threats to take away shot opportunities -- Amanda Zahui B and Asia Durr -- are out for this game. Kia Nurse has struggled lately too, so the Liberty will likely just keep going to Charles all game. If her efficiency really is back, she should be one of the top DFS moving forward this season.

Jessica Breland (F, Atlanta Dream) – @ Las Vegas Aces (DK: $7,900, FD: $6,700)

Breland has been playing some really strong basketball lately, scoring at least 10 points in three consecutive games. She's got the ability to hit the glass and grab rebounds while also stepping out and shooting from deep. Breland's been picking up a larger share of the offensive load for Atlanta lately, and while it hasn't helped the team on the scoreboard, it has helped her become a viable DFS option. Guard Tiffany Hayes is still the focal point of this Dream attack, but don't be surprised to see Breland lead the team in scoring a few times down the stretch.
