FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Matthew Boyd: DET vs LAA ($10,300)

Boyd has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, tossing quality starts in his last six outings. He has been on point in his past two outings, only allowing two earned runs with nine strikeouts in both starts. He also faces one of the worst hitting teams against left-handed pitching in the Los Angeles Angels. To this point in the season, they have only managed a league-worst .204 AVG, and an abysmal .278 wOBA.

Kyle Hendricks: CHC vs MIA ($8,200)

I tried to find a different pitcher since it seems I always pick on the Marlins but then I double checked the numbers and I couldn't leave this pick off of the list. Hendricks bounced back from a rough beginning of the season to throw a brilliant 81-pitch shutout in his last start against the Cardinals. He also gave the Marlins fits last season, going 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two starts. The Marlins are one of the worst teams in the league against right-handed pitching, with a measly .269 wOBA and 26.4% Strikeout Rate. I will continue to use pitchers against them until they prove that they can hit.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Willson Contreras: C, CHC vs MIA ($4,100)

Jose Urena has had a rough start to the year with a 1-5 record and 5.45 ERA. He has also struggled against right-handed hitting, allowing a .379 wOBA. He won't be happy to see Contreras step into the box today, as he comes into the game mashing against right-handed pitching, boasting a .492 wOBA and .391 ISO.

Michael Chavis: 2B, BOS at BAL ($4,000)

When you look at Andrew Cashner's surface numbers, you may think he's having a decent season by his standards with his 4-1 record and 4.71 ERA. However, what I see is a guy that is getting a lot of run support and opposing lineups that aren't taking advantage of the opportunities that he is giving them. The Boston Red Sox are not one of those teams, and Cashner's .382 wOBA and 50.7% Hard Contact Rate against right-handed hitters should be exploited today. Chavis should be one of the main exploiters, with a .470 wOBA and .317 ISO so far in his rookie season against right-handed pitching.

J.D. Davis: 3B, NYM at SD ($2,500)

Davis has been mashing against left-handed pitchers this season. I try not to overwhelm you guys with stats, but he has so many of them that I may have to list them all. He has a .438 wOBA, .381 ISO, and 50% rates in both Fly Ball and Hard Hit Contact. The main knock against him is his high strikeout and low walk rates, but at his price, all we need is for him to put a couple of balls toward the seats and I think he has the opportunity to do that today. Matt Strahm's 44.6% Fly Ball Rate and 43.4% Hard Contact Rate is a troubling mix for him against Chavis' numbers.

Francisco Lindor: SS, CLE vs CWS ($3,500)

If I can get Francisco Lindor at this price against a pitcher such as Reynaldo Lopez, I'm taking it every time. Lopez starts this game with a 6.69 ERA in seven starts, while allowing a .479 wOBA against left-handed hitters. This price is a bit surprising for me, as it's not like Lindor has been struggling this season. He has a .337 wOBA and a .237 ISO against right-handed pitchers.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Michael Brantley: OF, HOU vs KC ($4,100)

You can't go wrong with any of the Astros top half of the lineup against Jorge Lopez and his 5.09 ERA. I will highlight the righty-lefty matchup here, as Lopez has allowed a .479 wOBA against left-handed hitters. Brantley has been mashing against right-handed pitching, sitting in the cleanup spot with a .399 wOBA and .257 ISO.

Joey Gallo: OF, TEX at PIT ($4,600)

Start the day off in the first game with probably the highest home run potential on the slate. Gallo owns right-handed pitching, boasting a .445 wOBA and a 67.4% Hard Contact Rate. He faces off against Nick Kingham, who has struggled against left-handed hitting in his career, allowing a .416 wOBA. There isn't much more that has to be said about this matchup, LOCK IT IN.
