ANALYSIS: Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Trevor Cahill continues to be under-owned in fantasy leagues. He has allowed three earned runs, or less, in four of the past six performances and punched out at least six batters in three of the past six outings. Considering the strong defense for the Athletics and the spacious O.co Coliseum helping to depress offense, Cahill has had his most productive fantasy season in years.
Fortunately for fantasy owners, Cahill is a two start pitcher this week and both starts are at home. Unfortunately, Cahill will face two tough offenses this week (Texas and New York). Both the Yankees and Rangers are in the top seven in runs scored in 2018. On the bright side, both clubs are also in the top nine in team strikeouts this year. Considering Cahill's current form, he should be a pickup in all leagues, but the Ranger and Yankee offenses downgrade his stock a bit this week.
