Updating a previous report, San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges (elbow) received clean results on his MRI and is cleared to resume swinging. He's been out since May 1 with right elbow tendinitis. Hedges is batting a weak .173 with two home runs and 10 RBI but the Padres will welcome his impending return behind the dish.
